Fantastic traditional lesiure centre. Its like walking back into the 80's, everything is really old but seems to work OK and the staff are great.

Used the pool at 7.30am. Booked in advance. 25m pool has capability for four lanes, however the booked session only had two lanes merged into one large circular. One for both slow and fast. A little impractical & no lane etiquette goes out of the window - 8+ people in each lane. Facilities are a little dated but overall they looked clean and well maintained

Went to the active for life session as a family member had lost all confidence in swimming since a serious illness, it says in the advertising, a relaxed swim for people that want to take it easy and aren't up to lane swimming. We were in fact the only ones that weren't lane swimming, it was far from relaxed as we were having to move out of the way of people going up and down all of the time. The pool was freezing but nowhere near as cold as the changing rooms, my wife couldn't even get showered it was that cold so waited until we got back home. We asked to use a pool noodle to assist with confidence building but the lifeguard said we could use a float but not a noodle as he had been told no but didn't know why. You have to remove your shoes before entering the changing rooms (in the hallway)and walk across the wet floor. The person on the counter, although not rude, was so miserable, he didn't even look up when addressing customers. The BMI scales upstairs take your money but don't print out, when I reported this to the man on the front desk, he said, we don't own the machines, the paper must have run out. No offer of reimbursement or anything. The only decent thing I can say good about this is the changing rooms aren't bad, just cold. We will not be returning, and considering they were asking for help not so long ago to stay open I think more of an effort from their side should be made. We'll carry on going to Stourbridge crystal center, a real swimming pool with a decent temperature and customer friendly.
