AVOID!! So from Oct 2022 to May 2023 these solicitors only manage to do the searches, 3 teams were involved in the time period mentioned and still didn’t manage to complete my case to purchase my property. : Team Matthews : Team Solisz : Team Davis (In that same order) On the last week for the mortgage offer to expiry they started to ask for a deed of postponement when they had loads of time to ask for it, I went back and forth with Team Davis and my bank talking about the deed of postponement which wasn’t needed then 2 days before the mortgage to expiry, it was needed. I don’t know what it is about these solicitors but it’s like they don’t like to get paid. PLEASE AVOID!!

**** PMLaw is the Worst Company I Have Ever Dealt with in My Life. **** *AVOID THIS COMPANY* I got my offer accepted in November of 2019, and PMLaw took around 6 months to "complete" the process. The agreed completion date (proposed by PMLaw) was missed twice, and they didn't respond to the agency or myself. It was a nightmare for both myself and the vendor. It's now September 2020, almost a year since the offer was accepted, and 6 months since I moved into the house, but the registry still doesn't show my name. I keep sending them emails, but there are no substantial updates. UPDATE (NOVEMBER 2020): It's now MORE THAN A YEAR since I got my offer accepted, and I still don't have my name on the land registry. UPDATE (JULY 2021): PMLaw still hasn't provided a letter confirming that the solar panels were included in the purchase of the property. For this reason, I'm not able to transfer the ownership of the devices with EON.

Its taken me a year to write this review because I had such an awful experience with PM law I didn't know where to begin and it was an exhausting process dealing with them. We purchased a property from my inlaws which made a few things extremely confusing for these guys. Even though it was an extremely easy case. We were lucky to have an amazing broker who went above and beyond to help us out throughout. We completed on the day our mortgage offer was expiring. It was an extremely stressful and powerless situation to be in I had to call, email and chase multiple times a week for months to ensure they were getting things done correctly and in time. They ignore emails. Your on hold for hours sometimes just to get through to someone to be told nothings progressed or the person you want to speak to isn't at their desk... ever. The inlaws solicitors had to chase constantly too and they apparently didn’t recieve half the other solicitors emails despite me seeing these emails because my inlaws forwarded them to me! 😨 The mortgage interest rates had gone up a lot since our offer and it would have made it impossible for us to afford the new rates. We had to consult and be advised from various other people and I had to repeatedly copy and paste sections from the government website to them as they seemed clueless as to the rules and laws. I actually felt I knew more than these guys and I knew nothing about mortgages before this experience. - hence going with pm law in the first place. Yes they may be cheap but that comes at a price. In this instance it was a classic "you get what you pay for." It was supposed to be a simple purchase made extremely complicated by an incompetent team. Luckily we completed on the day but it could have been done months before but they were sloppy, slow and just didn't care. It seemed very normal for them to complete on the day your mortgage offer expires which isn't ok.. it also seemed completely normal to have to file for an extension to give them more time. You just don't need the stress of having to deal with these guys when buying any property. Avoid at all costs.

I was very dissatisfied with the handling of my legal issue. Emails were ignored along with a complaint I made. I felt the solicitor had no empathy for my situation and was more interested in running a conveyer belt claims regime. I would never use this company again.

PM LAW A PUBLIC CONCERN FOR SURE DON'T BE FOOLED An UNREASONABLE SERVICE ON OFFER LEGAL OMBUDSMAN INVESTIGATATION UNFOLDS THIS FIRM BREAKS THE RULES AND GIVES SHOCKING ADVICE WITH POOR SERVICE AFTER AN INVESTIGATION BY THE LEGAL OMBUDSMAN SERVICE INTO THEIR COMPLAINTS HANDLING ETC, NOW PASSED TO THE SOLICITORS REGULATORY AUTHORTITY (see email at the bottom of review) REGARDING THEIR POOR HANDLING OF AN INJURY CLAIM AND THEIR CONTRACTURAL FAILURES. WHICH I CAN NOW REPORT ON AS FOLLOWS: A FIRM THAT COULD WELL SACK YOU WHEN YOU COMPLAIN HOW THEY ARE DEALING WITH YOUR CASE. THEY COULD THEN DEMAND ALL THEIR FEES FROM YOU EVEN THOUGH THEY BREACH THE RULES SET BY THE SRA AND THEMSELVES. THEY MAY WELL FAIL TO PROVIDE YOU INFORMATION AS TO C0STS IN YOUR CASE AND FAIL TO PROVIDE YOU A INVOICE WHEN REQUESTED OR NEEDED BECAUSE THEY SACKED YOU WHILST MAKING DEMANDS FOR MONEY TO BE PAID. BEWARE BEWARE BEWARE. READ THE ONLINE REVIEWS IF YOU DOUBT ME. PM LAW ARE A PUBLIC LIABILITY THAT COULD PROVE VERY COSTLY FOR YOU AS THEY DO NOT KNOW WHAT THEY ARE TALKING ABOUT WAS MY EXPERIENCE. PROOF I HAVE AFTER £500 compensation awarded by the Legal ombudsman service, following my concerns raised in the public interests as a client sacked by PM LAW. PM LAW solicitor and head demanded some £10,000 in fees or they would sue me potentially. They were found negligent as recorded phone calls were examined by the legal ombudsman and forensic written communication. A customer that took no chances. This firm made me mentally ill at the time with their practices. Poor service has a pattern with this firm and they tend to say any old rubbish to get out of jail, so to speak When you go compare online reviews on their google reviews you can see across the board this firm are a concern. I found them to be a waste of their space and have proven the same for even them to challenge as I beat them fair and square and as an unqualified solicitor, but instead a litigant in person. When I complained to them in the first instance, they sent me 100 pages of drivel, which amounted to unqualified rubbish, whilst they were clearly in breach of the SRA rules The ombudsman service wrote to the SRA recently stating the following To: ., SRA Thu, 8 Dec at 15:49 Dear Sir/Madam I hope you are well. I have investigated Mr Nelson's service complaints regarding PM Law Ltd following your referral to ourselves on 17 May 2021, copy attached. I have found the firm's service to have been unreasonable for three of Mr Nelson's complaint points and have arranged for the firm to make a payment to Mr Nelson of £500 for the distress and inconvenience caused. Whilst investigating, Mr Nelson flagged the fact that the firm failed to provide him with six monthly updates as to costs as stated within their terms and conditions. As this is a regulatory breach rather than a service issue, I would be grateful if you could contact Mr Nelson directly to review this aspect of his complaint. I confirm that I have now closed my file. Yours faithfully Nicky Winkel Investigator Legal Ombudsman

Stay away! If I could give zero stars I would. This company has zero ethics and zero knowledge of the regulations! Sale of my flat was assigned to an assistant and they questioned certification which was issued to current standards, ignoring evidence of guidance issued by RICS. They prolonged the process by at least 3 months and not even acknowledged my complaint or how they messed up the whole process, let alone compensating me for the loss i suffered due to their negligence. How do you cowboys sleep at night??? PS: In a response to your note...you were solicitors of my buyer so your claim is irrelevant to the fact that it took you 4 MONTHS to notice that my EWS1 certificate was valid, costing me £2,000 in extra costs!
