Very frustrating experience. Booked an MOT and service for Bank Holiday Monday, all booked in, reminder text sent to me the day before. Got there 10 mins early as instructed and was told the technician and mechanic hadn't turned up! I left the car there "just in case he turns up and is just late" and received a call an hour later to say he wouldn't be coming in so I couldn't get the car serviced. "He's normally so punctual, so if he's not here yet...!" Unbelievable. So unprofessional. Not the standard of service I've received from Halfords in the past. Won't be recommending in future. Was offered an alternative time/date, but I'd already wasted two hours with them so I've asked for a full refund.

It took an excessive 1 hour and 20 minutes to complete a task that should have only taken 30 minutes: changing the tires. The newly hired mechanic appeared to lack proficiency as he mistakenly attempted to perform a wheel alignment without properly applying the handbrake, causing the car to roll back. This whole thing was an unpleasant and frustrating experience, and as a result, I have no intention of returning to this Halfords! Services: Wheel alignment, Tires

I would give zero stars if I could. Absolute joke of a business. Agreed to book a service and MOT on the basis of it going in at 9 and getting it back at 1. Agreed to this before booking and confirmed when dropping off the car in the morning. Returned at 1 and the service had not even been started. Got told they prioritised another car for a diagnosis after the MOT and they did not even have the courtesy to call me and let me know before I travelled there. They clearly just do what they like and don’t care about their customers. They can’t be trusted to keep their word so I would recommend saving your time and going else where.

Booked my MOT here, claimed I had two major faults including my number plate which hasn’t been changed in 10 years and has never failed. Immediately took it to a different garage who said the number plate was absolutely fine and the other major was only an advisory.
