    We recently had the total nightmare of finding it impossible to lock our front door the day before we were due to leave on a short holiday. I phoned the closest firm - HalesLocks - and spoke to Shane. The door and locks are around 15 years old, so I wasn’t very optimistic about the chances of a rapid fix. Shane was able to diagnose the problem over the phone, quoted the probable price to replace the entire locking mechanism, and arrived with us with 20 minutes. He had managed to find a replacement mechanism, which he fitted within half an hour. He then went above and beyond what he’d promised (hence his description as a Master Locksmith?) and adjusted all the hinges on the door, re-aligning it so it fitted better than it ever had. He then cleaned the door, tidied up any mess made and charged exactly what he’d quoted by phone. Shane, and his firm HalesLocks, were an absolute pleasure to deal with, and I’ve have no reservations about recommending them to anybody with problems with their locks.
