    First time here the other night with my partner and wow what a treat. So nice to have table service and the staff were so friendly. A real treat to have this at a Chinese and not a buffet. So much food for each dish. And what we ordered between the two of us could have easily fed 4 adults. They gave us some containers to take home our left overs.

    Visited Hakka2 twice in less than 2 weeks! The first visit was to celebrate my fiancé's birthday with a group of friends. The staff went above and beyond - they put together a few tables to accommodate the ever changing number of guests (which was originally 16, down to 10). They also put a birthday banner along the wall and our table had a sprinkling of glitter which was such a lovely touch (especially as I had not requested it). My fiancé and I returned again with his mum a couple days ago. The staff were ever so attentive and we had such a great evening! Moving on to the food: I grew up with curry (my dad owns an Indian restaurant) and I am a huge foodie. I picked the Kari Ayam, from the Malaysian part of the menu on our first visit. Very flavourful, good spice level and SO moreish - the chicken fell off the bone and the potatoes absorbed the sauce. Loved it. I was warned that it was quite spicy but I enjoyed it! The other day we chose from the Chinese dishes and these were also exceptional. I ordered the King Prawns in Curry Sauce and was impressed by the size of the prawns - they were also perfectly cooked. As recommended by our waiter, we shared some Baby Broccoli (which was topped with crispy seaweed, goji berries and pine nuts) - Would definitely recommend this on if you like your greens! Wonderful flavours and textures. Thoroughly great experience with Hakka2 and looking forward to our next visit!
