  I had a system fitted and I’m going to be very honest and say it’s good but there are lots of unexpected negatives too. The team who do the systems are lovely and I cannot fault them for their helpfulness and friendliness. It’s good that there’s a way to ‘have hair’ again, for many it is life changing and offers a massive confidence boost. I would never say ‘don’t do it’ but I think it’s important to be balanced and state the issues. The not so good: 1) The front ‘hairline’ is very rudimentary looking. I’m surprised, given the huge advances in wig lace fronts etc, for people with and without hair, that nothing seems to have progressed with the system. A fringe is really the only option as without one, a windy day really exposes the hairline. 2) the hair system can become very loose on some people. This is way beyond simply hair growth and I had to have the front stuck down as it felt like I was like wearing a loose hat that pulled my natural hair out. 3) It’s not always easy to hide the panels, especially at the sides, as they seem to come very far forward. I always seem to need to adjust everything so it stays hidden. Also, the hair feels overly thick as they need to add enough to hide the joins etc. It takes time getting used to it. 4) Limited styling unless you leave it loose and curl/straighten. Low ponytail is just about possible, if you tweak everything to hide the mesh at the sides but nothing high or all the mesh sticks out, especially close to adjustment time when it’s loosened. 5) This is an ongoing commitment. The appointments for adjustment are around 5-6 weeks apart. There’s also a need to replace it every so often, around 1.5 to 2 years I think. This is necessary as the mesh and hair won’t last forever, so no way around it, just something to be mindful of. This has not been the best experience I could imagine but it is good enough for now. Hopefully they’ll look to advancing and upgrading some of the fringe section options to enable people to wear their hair off the face & tie it back properly. It’s by no means perfect but it’s all I have for now. Would I recommend it? Yes, but with the reality check so you’re not disappointed. I must admit, I was but I’m getting used to it.

  I cannot speak too highly of the care I received from Emma at Bristol. She and Shannon have created a relaxed and reassuring atmosphere. I suffer with Frontal Fibrosing Alopecia (FFA) but at no time did I feel embarrassed by my hair loss. Emma's care in listening, ordering and attaching my hair system was exceptional. I have received many compliments and am so pleased with the result and its natural look. Both Emma and Shannon have made it clear they are available should there be any problems. It was very emotional because of my hair loss at first but Shannon is very attentive and understanding, putting me at my ease from day one. She has a very bubbly personality and able to answer all my many questions over the months gone by. Emma who is another stylist is also very pleasant and friendly.   Love it here. Have a small hair system. Great service. No issues booking appointments and a great price. Friendly, approachable and relaxed. System stays tight and secure for weeks. The girls are very friendly and put you at ease in an inviting, friendly and immaculate environment.

  I have been a client of HairSolved Bristol for 4 years and will be having my third system fitted next month. The clever hair system has dramatically changed the way I look and feel about my hair so that the hair thinning/balding on my crown I was experiencing, is now completely transformed by the addition of lovely thick natural hair. I do just forget about it on a day to day basis-it’s so easy to maintain and although the initial outlay was high, it’s definitely worth it. Lovely Emma and Shannon in the Bristol Clifton salon are terribly clever at what they do and how sensitively they treat their clients. Absolutely no hesitation in giving a 5-star review !

  I had cancer twice when I was younger. My hair grew back fine after my first cancer, but not after my second. No one tells you that and there’s very little information available about it online. I was hitting 23 by the time I was done and needed a permanent solution, something I could live with as a young woman. Finding Hair Solved in London came as a god send to me. There aren’t many options out there for women with “Caucasian” hair, so this has been a dream. My hair system slots in like a full replacement, I sleep with it, shower with it, braid it, go to the pool - I live normally again! The inconvenience is having to get it tightened every 6 weeks but the team at Hair Solved are such gems. I shan’t lie, the costs can also sometimes be a burden, but it’s an investment and the confidence it gives is priceless. A personal inconvenience for me is they are located so far from central London but I gather it’s also to allow for more privacy. Sally, has always been so kind and welcoming to me. Meeting her all those years ago was a blessing! I’m 31 now and still wear the hair systems and will for life ☺️
