Beautiful historic house with amazing plaster-work, artefacts, gorgeous views, incredible rooms and dedicated staff. We were very well looked after while waiting for the tour to start, the guide, Jan, was very knowledgeable and entertaining and we had tea and sandwiches served with a smile by Janet and Wendy. Well worth a visit. But only open early in the year so check before you go.

Very informative and enjoyable visit. We've been meaning to visit for some time, as live locally, and were not disappointed! Our guide was brimming with interesting historical facts, taking us through the journey of the property and now-resident family. The plasterwork was particularly impressive, as were many of the paintings. Highly recommended.

This wonderful paladin style stately home , is under the historic house umbrella. So if you are a member then entrance is free. If not then pre booked adult ticket is £10 or £12 on the day. The house is open for house tours between 16th Jan and 19th March 2023. The tour I was on , was first class , the guide knew everything without referring to notes. The house and grounds are beautiful . Everyone we spoke to was so welcoming including lady Cobham. There is a cafe and toilets on site. Parking is by the adjacent church (also worth a visit) . There is no photography allowed on the tour. An excellent and informative day out

After a quick telephone call we booked a 11.30 house tour on 25 January. We had a very enjoyable and informative tour with an excellent guide. We were especially impressed by the amazing plasterwork. Questions about the past running of the house were later directed by the guide to the housekeeper. Her third generation knowledge informed us all, bringing many aspects of the daily routine of downstairs to life. Which was fascinating. We finished off our visit with a pot of tea and a lovely slice of cake. Thank you to everyone we met for making it such an enjoyable visit.
