I called the team in crisis, crying and clearly in distress. The woman on the call was awful. When I asked to speak to someone nicer. She started laughing at me. No wonder suicide rates in Hackney going up. When I finally kill myself, don’t say I didn’t try to get help!

I wanted to write a review as all of these were sadly negative experiences for a lot of people. So when my appointment was booked in and I saw the reviews I was quite anxious and apprehensive of what I was going to encounter at my appointment/assessment. I had a really friendly welcome from the man at reception, we had a 10min conversation where he was really uplifting and interested in my career prospects. My assessment was with Daniel and he was very attentive and patient with me and made me feel valid and heard. He commended me for what I have achieved and juggled whilst battling my mental health. He referred me for therapy and gave me the reassurance that I could call him if I needed any further assistance or use of the facilities/ programmes they provide. It’s a shame not everyone experienced the outcome they needed as I did, but I wanted to put a good review. The only downside was that the entrance was a little tricky to find and not clearly displayed as I ended up round the back entrance for a different lodge.

Not impressed with the treatment of a friend. I understand that their safety and that of others is the most important things, but there is practically no emphasis on treatment and improvement of mental health to prevent them having to return in the future. They are just left to their own devices and to essentially decay from boredom in this place which looks like a prison. At least have some engaging/self-help books around and some communal games instead of just a pool table with several balls missing. Encourage exercise. Encourage interaction between the attendees. Encourage improvement of self-esteem and a vision of a better life once they leave.

Awful, AWFUL service. I've been suffering from chronic depression and anxiety for over a decade, and was referred to this service by my GP after the medications that she gave me did not work. These cruel, apathetic individuals has a meeting and dismissed my case before I was even able to see a psychiatrist at their service after I had waited MONTHS for a response, and after they sent me a letter to contact them if they didn't contact me!
