Having played limited rugby prior, I was very apprehensive and hesitant to join the club however this turned out to be one of my best decisions that I had made. The coaches and fellow players made me feel welcome from day one at training during pre-season of 2019 at Hyde Park and eased me into the sport! Three years later & I am still here! This club is not solely about rugby but is focused on inclusion and is a catalyst for finding your belonging! All abilities are welcome! The socials are a plus too! The HAC RFC is truly the best club in the world!

Excellent use of the wide channels and not afraid to run it from deep. First class social scene.

I joined this great central London club as a student and have never found a reason to leave. The home ground is a hidden sparkling gem in the heart of The City between Moorgate and Old St, with the clubhouse hosted within the stately and historic Armoury House. The culture and tradition of the club is to be welcoming and inclusive, with a sympathetic attitude towards regularity of training attendance (whilst still rewarding commitment), combined with high levels of individual and collective ability across all teams and an ambition to play exciting, attacking rugby whenever possible. Excellent coaching over the last several seasons has continued to raise the level across the club. The social side is as important as the rugby and if you stick around for any length of time you will make friends for life (and give up many weekends in your early 30s attending weddings of said friends.) There are no cliques or favourites either in the bar or in squad selection discussions, and movement between teams and drinking groups can be fluid from one week to the next. If you’re looking for the best club in the world, you’ve found it. Just the one word of caution in case you think you’re pretty special at rugby - let your actions on the field do the talking, massive egos are not tolerated regardless of ability.
