We stayed at Silver lakes in February, the place was very peaceful and my husband and granddaughter enjoyed using the swimming pool and the walks where lovely. We choose a dog friendly property which was very nice and cozy and well kitted out (but could do with a new coat of paint as starting to look a bit grubby in places inside). Unfortunately we couldn't let the dog out into the garden by himself as one fence was missing which meant he could get into the neighbouring garden and a couple of other fences where broken. The heating in the house was either set to high or there was a problem with it as very hot and uncomfortable, following the instructions in the information file it said you can turn it down which we tried but this didn't help the boiler was constantly going but by the second day the heating switched it's self off altogether for 2 days before firing it's self back up and only working up stairs! Not that we needed it as property still very warm. Would we stay there again? YES definitely we loved it despite the few issues and it's location is great for day's out around the area and the Countryman pub nearby is will worth a visit, lovely staff and great food.

Lower Mill Estate is a beautiful place for a weekend away. We stayed at Bittern Reeds and the accommodation was beautiful. We'd read stories of issues with the deposit but had no problems (and they were very quick to get back to us when we raised any concerns). Biggest downside was the state of the spa - it smelt, was unclean, the water was cold, and the steam room didn't work, nor did the lockers. This was disappointing as having access to the pool was something we'd looked forward to, especially with the dark autumn evenings. Overall we had a great time, and would definitely recommend, especially for a special birthday (potentially worth having your own hot tub though, rather than bothering with the spa)!

I rarely leave reviews, but I have had to write to say what a wonderful stay we have had recently at Lower Mill Estate as a family. After a very difficult 18 months this escape was just what the doctor ordered. My son is autistic and so I wanted to check with Habitat Escapes on the activities and facilities and they were so friendly, accommodating and understanding of our needs. The house we stayed in was beautiful and very clean, which was very reassuring re safety. Our 3 children absolutely loved being able to run free and spot so much wildlife. The staff at Activity Hub were so kind and patient with the children and we all had a great time out on the water paddle boarding. We ordered some groceries to collect on our arrival and had delicious pizzas from the pizza shack at the restaurant. This made our stay relaxing from the get-go. We also had a fab breakfast there before we set out for the day and the staff at the restaurant were so friendly and the food was enjoyed by all of us. We had booked pool spots ahead of time and it felt like a holiday abroad being able to swim outside. Thank you so much Habitat Escapes for a much needed break and all the lovely memories we have made. We will definitely be back.

Absolutely disgusting company. I urge people not to stay here and if you do take photos and videos of everyroom and furnishing possible. This company is absolute scammers it is sickening. Managers refusing to return complaint calls. Cleaners lying about Staines on a sofa which was never used. The company refusing to provide evidence of the sofa before our stay. Refusing to provide a full shot/video of the sofa not just a section of it. Apparently this worn, tattered, sun damaged sofa is the same sofa from the image on their website (looks completely different) and is the one we stained (the marks are so old they are worn away!). On top of the lies the company has deducted £200 from our security deposit without discussing and addressing our complaint and without even getting a quote from the cleaning company (again we wanted to see the invoice to justify the £200 but then a few days later they admit to not getting a quote yet). I have never in my 30 plus years stayed at a so called reputable and professional company which treats their guests this way just to make a quick buck! Absolutely disgusting!!
