Bought a teal sofa bed, barely sat on in second room only to last 18 months when cheap metal pressing holding spring sheared off. Under the lovely teal material is cheap rough cut timber, stables and poor workmanship. Called Habitat HQ and no one ever came back. In store was reminded warranty was 12 months. We always bought from Habitat before they went under and was pleased when they returned but it’s not the same and will never buy anything again. Hundreds of £ wasted! UPDATE Shortly after the next pressing sheared off so have to dump it. Never again will I buy from Habitat, 'Shabitat'. Since prior liquidation the quality is no longer the same.

Checked the website for Easter opening hours, stated the Brighton shop was open. Drove an hour to go there, the shop was closed. The phone is never answered. Having read the other reviews looks like we dodged a bullet. Sounds like an established brand name stuck on cheap Argos furniture.

Terrible customer service - why don't you answer your telephone?! I was about to spend a considerable sum of money on furniture but needed a question answered. No reply to repeated telephone calls and website questioning gone unanswered, too. Your loss - I've gone somewhere else to spend £1000+
