Had a horrible experience with staff. I called beforehand to make sure this I was allowed to bring my dog into the store. The staff member over the phone told me it was ok if my dog was small and I put him in the trolly and people have done this before. I got to the store and did as she said, he was completely fine and on his best behaviour. People were smiling and coming up to him in the first aisle. My friend and I just about made it to the second and we were stopped by security. I understand on the outside the sign says no dogs, but that is why I made sure to call otherwise I wouldn't have made the 2 hour journey there. A lot of the staff on the shop floor weren't sure if this was ok and directed to another lady who I presumed either was a supervisor or had more knowledge then the others. I got the security guard to confirm if the number I called was correct which he did and then proceeded to say I was wrong in the matter. I called the number again explained the situation over the phone and the woman handed me to customer service which was to a phone to the shop floor, so I spoke to the woman I was already directed to. The security guard demanded I take my dog outside and started to approached my dog and friend, I think with all the loud commotion with female shop assistant and the security guard towards us my dog naturally barked. Just to elaborate my dog is half pom, shitzu and bichon, he is not that big but on the bigger side of these typed of dogs.The female shop assistant then started berating me and my dog saying he needs a muzzle, he's violent their are children around and he would attack one of them. He called a manger down from upstairs and he didn't really do much in the situation another manager who was off the premise at the time was called over the phone and relayed that this was a issue with miscommunication amongst staff and they will review training, but their was nothing to be done in the situation. I felt very uncomfortable in the situation and felt very cornered. My friend and I weren't treated with a lot of respect and were basically told to get out as we were in the wrong. Honestly, just upset at how the situation was handled.
