I was lucky enough to be assigned to Mr Soleymani's care when I was referred to Oxford following my cancer diagnosis in Reading. From my first appointment he put me at ease and I felt listened to. He explained all my options, talking to me as an individual and, when I was unsure about something, decided to defer my date for surgery as he understood that my peace of mind was as relevant as anything else. If you are someone who doesn't like to know much, or you are someone who likes everything explained, Mr S is a people-person and will tell you what you want to know. Zoe, his secretary, works behind the scenes providing support by answering emails promptly and with appropriate reassurance, both pre-op and post-op. Nothing is judged as trivial. I have trusted Mr S with my life and feel I cannot recommend him highly enough.

Mr Soleymani, or Mr S as he is known in our household, is the most caring and genuinely respectful consultant that I have met. At my first appointment, he explained that surgery was required and patiently answered all of my questions. He was honest regarding the timescale for recovery and the level of support I would need after surgery. He was reassuring about the operation, which occurred within two weeks of my appointment. Whilst in hospital post-surgery, I was checked on daily and closely monitored by Mr Soleymani and his team. The staff at the Manor were in regular contact with Mr Soleymani, and he often requested tests or checks to be made when he was not in attendance. The staff at the Manor were professional and supportive often telling jokes or sharing advice and asking how I felt. I was encouraged to mobilise after surgery and was greeted around the department by all staff from the ancillary staff to the medical staff as I walked daily. Every member of staff played their part from the medical and nursing staff, to the catering staff, who after a period of nil by mouth, organised a special diet to get me back onto solid food again. After discharge, I was well looked after by Molly in Outpatients, who kept a careful eye on me with weekly visits and was also in regular contact with Mr Soleymani. At discharge, I was given clear instructions by Mr Soleymani as to how I needed to progress to ensure I could safely get back to my previous activity level. I would not hesitate to recommend Mr Soleymani to anyone requiring gynaecological surgery.

I was recently treated by Mr Soleymani for a hysterectomy following a diagnosis of cervical cancer at the Nuffield hospital in Oxford. Through out the whole process from diagnosis to post treatment, Mr Soleymani has been fantastic. He has a very calming, professional manner which is absolutely required when going through such an emotional time. I can not thank him enough as I was really anxious about the operation. Though everything went as planned and I’m recovering well. I would highly recommend Mr Soleymani.

I have nothing but praise and thanks for Mr Soleymani and his team. My diagnosis in 2019 was devastating. I was very scared and fearful. I consider it very fortuitous that I met Mr Soleymani at this time and was lucky enough to have him as my surgeon. He is so professional and knowledgeable that you can’t help but feel you are in safe hands. He is always kind, caring and straightforward which I really appreciate. He took time to explain the operation to me and my husband and answered all our questions. My operation and aftercare at the Manor was exemplary. Mr Soleymani and his formidable team took great care of me. All the way through my illness he has made me feel safe and I know he is there if I have any worries or issues that I need to discuss. I would absolutely recommend him without hesitation.

Miss Ismail is a fantastic doctor and I can't thank her enough for her kindness and understanding throughout the entire process, from consultation through to procedure she listened intently and explained clearly everything that will happen. I'd not been in hospital before and the process from start to finish was seamless and she really put me at ease as I was so nervous and daunted by it all Her secretary Zoe was also incredibly helpful and informative, answering questions quickly and keeping me updated. I'm extremely grateful to them both and I know if I have any issues in the future I will be in good hands with Miss Ismail.

I have been under the care of Miss Ismail for a month. From the moment of my first appointment I was treated with utmost dignity and respect. Miss Ismail really listened to me whilst having a human approach, she has an exceptional bedside manner. Miss Ismail performed a minor procedure which I was anxious about but she and her team in theatre put my mind at ease and kept me informed throughout and checking I was ok. I cannot fault anything. I would like to extend my thanks to Miss Ismail’s Private Secretary - Zoe who has kept me well informed throughout whilst reflecting the same human approach. It really makes all the difference. I have been given a treatment plan moving forwards. I wish I had seen Miss Ismail sooner, I now feel I am finally getting somewhere and feel much more positive about my future health.

I am under Mr Soleymani’s care for early endometrial cancer and am so glad to have the care of such a kind, skilled, helpful expert. He is easy to talk to, and has gone the extra mile to manage things during this difficult time of COVID-19. As a doctor myself in Oxford I know he is held in very high regard, and as his patient I can see why. His secretary Zoe is phenomenal too, very responsive and thoughtful, and they are all clearly dedicated to providing an outstanding service.

I was under the care of Mr Soleymani Majd for endometriosis, during my care he performed laparoscopic surgery twice, once diagnostically and the second to treat severe pelvic endometriosis via surgical excision. Mr Soleymani is a very skilled and talented surgeon - both procedures were completed without complication and my recovery time in both cases was short – critically I am no longer in chronic pain! An attentive doctor who takes the time to listen to his patients (he also took time out of his weekend to check on me in hospital after my surgery), whilst also ensuring that medical information is communicated effectively and medical decisions are understood. He is a kind and patient doctor who respects his patients, he believed me when I said I was in pain, and that the pain was not normal, after GPs had told me there was nothing wrong. Had he not believed me and offered diagnostic surgery I may well have not been diagnosed in a timely manner, much like many other women with endometriosis whose symptoms are often ignored. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Mr Soleymani and the team for gynaecological care, overall a fantastic treatment experience. A huge thank you to Mr Soleymani, but also a special thank you also to his EA, Zoe - a lovely lady always on hand to help! You will be in excellent hands with Mr Soleymani as your surgeon.
