First visit on a Sunday watching my daughter doing a dressage test. Very impressed with the set-up ( in door arena and jumping course). There was a mobile canteen for hot drinks and snacks. Everyone was very friendly, parking ample for horse boxes and cars. The horse community are lucky to have such a facility near Liss. Congratulations to the owners and all the helpers.

Well that is an experience I hope we never have to repeat. We went to an unaffiliated show today at Highbrook. My 15 year old daughter was verbally shouted at by someone for being late and not informing them. To the point that several competitors came to me afterwards and said it was uncalled for and unnecessary, and told her to ignore them.. Luckily she is a tough cookie but totally uncalled for.The staff running the show were cold and unhelpful. I tried to be nice all along but was met with pure snobbyness, clickyness and coldness. In fact another competitors parent complained and then came to us and voiced his concerns. My daughter rode two classes her first class she had a refusal and was eliminated in the first phase, even though she managed to jump it clear after the refusal. But on the second class the rules unseemingly changed at the judges discretion. This time she was allowed to continue to the second phase even though the exact same thing happened. 🤷‍♀️ My daughter has competed at BS Senior level and never has she been treated like this. What happened to a human kindness. Completely not acceptable and glad to say we will not be attending shows at this venue again. If you are attending with younger riders please be cautious as this may put them off shows for the future. I am glad to say in the last 3 years this has been the only venue where we have felt like this.
