Gurumu is the club to join if you want your children to learn the art of taekwondo, discipline and most importantly themselves. Both coaches are amazing they take time for every single child they encourage the children to do the best they can and most importantly have fun. As parents we always get an update on the children’s progress. The kids are so happy to be there and as a parent I am so grateful for the coaches work.

Gurumu Taekwondo is a one of a kind Martial Arts School, the sense of “togetherness” Gurumu Taekwondo upholds is unmatched. I have been part of Gurumu for over 5 years and within this period my development has been simply amazing. Not only have I developed as a martial artist but with the care and attention of the coaches under the leadership of Sir Siva Ramasamy I have developed as an all round better person. The holistic developmental approach is magic at Gurumu. I have always wanted to be a high performance athlete and at Gurumu that became a reality. I have gone onto represent the club and the country at the international stage including the under 21 European Championships and there so much more to come. There is a wealth of knowledge and experience within the leadership and the coaching team in Gurumu. Every individual is taken care of and supported to a high standard in training, education and life. The club is a great big family and a massive power house in Great Britain. It is my second family and that’s why I travel from Slough to Manor Park, London. I highly recommend Gurumu to anyone who aspires to be successful not only in the sport of taekwondo, but in life.

I've been with Gurumu Taekwondo for just over one year now and can honesty say with great confidence that it is one of the best clubs you can find in the country, dare I say the whole world! Initially, I felt hesitant to return to taekwondo having done it at a younger age and was feeling intimidated at first as I did not believe I could reclaim the skills I once had. Despite now being in my late 20s, I'm actually in the best shape of my life and my skillset is far greater than when I was younger. I would have not achieved any of this if it were not for the excellent guidance of our coaches: Sir Siva, Sir Harwinder and Sir Viroshan. I also got to compete in my very first Taekwondo Nationals recently. Having join the senior class as preparation for this, I felt quite nervous and was very much outclassed as I am still a yellow belt, but with the 8 weeks leading up to the nationals, I had the upmost support from our black belts who made me feel very welcome and every single one of them were very supportive and taught me something new. This only further emphasized how Gurumu has a strong community and only lift each other up to bring out the very best within us. I look forward to what the future holds and look forward to competing in many more tournaments. If you ever feel like it is to late to start something new, you are not alone. The human body is capable of far more than you can imagine and it all starts with taking that first step. I encourage anyone and everyone to try a trial session with us :)

Gurumu Taekwondo is an amazing club that specialises in the Olympic Martial Art of Taekwondo. I was fortunate to have discovered Gurumu Taekwondo 17 years ago in Manor Park (E12) and since then they have been part of my family. They have developed my 3 children into great martial artists with discipline, respect, values and have given them an amazing skill that will be with them for the rest of their lives. Master Siva Ramasamy is a phenomenal coach, in fact, he is one of the best Taekwondo coaches in the country who has gone on to win 4 national coaching awards including an award by UK Coaching. He has produced 100's of national medallists and been crowned the best club in Great Britain for many years. He has gone on to produce European Champions and World Championship medallists over the years in his role as a National Coach for Great Britain. All the Gurumu coaches are amazing. They coach with so much love and passion that words can't describe. My children have gone on to win the National Championships several times. They have been selected to represent Great Britain at major championships like the Cadet European Championships, Junior European Championships, Under 21 European Championships and European University Games. All these achievements have presented many exciting opportunities and opened many doors for my children in life. The club has a real passion to make its members succeed in life and promotes a well-rounded development approach. Master Siva has always shown great interest in my children's education and personal development and to date is a mentor for my children even though they have grown into adults under his wings. We are lucky to have such an amazing club on our doorstep when many members travel from Cambridge, Slough, Kent, West London. If you want to be a part of a club that provides more than just martial arts then Gurumu Taekwondo is the place.

Gurumu taekwondo is a community open to everyone. The unique thing about the club is the energy and the traditional approach they have to martial arts. Taekwondo has been a massive part of my life. I have competed for Great Britain on a national and international level. My greatest achievements include representing Great Britain at the World championship , European championship and the Commonwealth games. Without the support of the club I would not have the opportunities that I have today particularly in a professional environment. I truly recommend this club to anyone who is looking for a safe and enjoyable community. The club is diverse, inclusive and creative !
