I’ve had an absolutely fantastic experience as a student of Dr Rob. I was a student of his for several years due to his excellent ability to engage me when I was a novice and challenge me as my guitar playing improved. He provided lots of opportunities for me which really helped me develop my playing, such to the extent that after only two weeks of playing guitar I was already performing in a concert alongside some of his other students as an opening event to a local annual festival. In addition to being a fantastic guitar teacher he also has a fully kitted out music studio with which he taught me how to record music and mix tracks to produce both covers of songs as well as some original music. All in all, I couldn’t recommend Dr Rob anymore highly. The experiences he provided me with along with the sheer enjoyment of learning to play guitar the way I wanted to learn made for some fantastic years of being his student.

I went to Rob about 6 months ago to improve my bass playing and learn more about the music theory behind what I’m playing and why I’m playing it. He’s a great teacher. Patient, appreciative of effort that you’re putting in and gently challenging me to improve. Also, being able to go and play in the studio and record is a great addition to the lesson. I’m a much better player now than when I started with Rob and I would strongly recommend him.

I've tried the rest so t went to the best. Rob has a wide range of tastes and knowledge and showed me how to use my fingers for the songs i wanted to learn on guitar. Practicing is now fun. I also learned that the right guitar is essential. WISH I had started this 30 years ago. BEZZ.

Rob is a very dedicated and inspiring guitar teacher. He taught my son for about 7 years taking him from beginner through to achieving a grade 6 in music GCSE. As well as individual lessons he organises group workshops and public performances which give students fantastic opportunities to learn and build confidence. Highly recommend!
