Jake is an extremely talented guitar tutor for both, your acoustic and electric guitar. His hawk eyes tell you where you go wrong with attention to detail. I have tried other guitar teachers in Surrey but they lacked knowledge and were teaching me things that were about right but not always spot on. Jake has been the best and is 100% accurate and worth your money. Also very good at listening to songs that you like but are new to him ... quick in figuring the right chords/notes out so you will save yourself a lot of frustration and time by learning things the right way from the start. Bonus: you get a short personalized video of what you learnt in your lesson before the next day so you can practice the stuff on your own before you see him again next time. Very helpful as some of the riffs and shapes can be forgotten once he’s out the door. Also just a really nice chap. Highly recommend him!

Having never played the guitar before I wasn`t sure what to expect. Jake is a very experienced teacher who understands that every student is an individual who will learn at their own pace. Being both friendly and patient Jake creates a comfortable atmosphere in his lessons that makes learning to play a guitar and read music very easy. Jake also creates tailor made lessons that are centered on the music/songs of your taste. This allows you to remain motivated and eager to develop your guitar playing skills. Jake makes both home visits or offers lessons over the internet. Both options are arranged at times that suit the student. Jake has excellent communication skills. In between lessons I sometimes get confused while practicing . Jake is happy to respond to my messages and offer approaches to overcome any hurdles I encounter. I`m extremely happy with the quality of Jake`s teaching methods and would highly recommend him to any beginner or experienced guitar player.
