I have been having lessons with Ollie for a while now and have really enjoyed the whole experience. Having not played any guitar since school I wasn't sure what to expect, but Ollie is a very patient and calm tutor who finds way to improve your technique quickly. His unique approach helps you understand and simplify the whole process of playing the guitar, while each lesson is developed to fit your current strengths and the atmosphere is very relaxed and informative. I would really recommend him as you will make a lot of progress in a short space of time and develop a confidence in playing much faster than you would expect. Show less

Having had some basic classical guitar lessons as a kid, and then getting into lots of guitar based music as a teenager, I often got frustrated trying to teach myself to play an electric guitar and never really progressed much. After having lessons with Ollie for over a year, it has completely renewed my passion for guitar. I have learnt more in this time than the last 20 years, I am progressing on a weekly basis and able to play the music that inspired and ignited my passion for music. Having lessons forces me to take time out to practice, which leads to progress and makes it really rewarding. Ollie has a wide ranging knowledge of styles and techniques as well as an ability to make theory understandable and useful. Ollie's friendly manner makes learning fun and inspiring and he's always happy to tailor lessons to the music you're into.

I have been having lessons from Ollie for one year and am very happy to be one of his pupils. He teaches me at a good pace, giving me something to learn every week. But never too much, always a manageable amount thus I can concentrate on one or two things and make real progress with them. He has a very good ear and good eye to observe what I am doing, he picks up even the finest points which need correction. He is a very positive teacher, always optimistic about my progress.

I started guitar lessons with Dan Grice about 3 months ago. Already I am making great progress, learning scales and pieces from the Grade 5 book. Dan is very patient and funny creating a relaxed and enjoyable environment.

I started my lessons with Dan Grice several months ago in June when I was in Brighton.I went to my first lesson so nervous thinking that I have no hope in learning how to play a guitar. But Dan was amazing, he changed the whole concept and I actually felt the improvement after every lesson! I can honestly say that these lessons were the highlight of my trip. After coming back to my country, I had Skype lessons with Dan and they were as amazing and productive as the live lessons! In the lessons (Whether live in Brighton or on Skype) Dan teaches me everything step by step, he always makes me repeat what I've learned a few times in front of him so he makes sure I get it right. Dan always asks about my taste in music and the bands I like so he can keep things interesting. After each lesson he always makes sure that I am satisfied with it. As a medical student, I don't actually have much free time, but when I have a couple of minutes to spare I immediately hold my guitar and enjoy those moments! Yes I am addicted now! Dan didn't only teach me to play, but he also showed me how beautiful of an instrument it is! Playing guitar hasn't only become a hobby but also a big part of me! I recommend both Dan and this academy to ANY person who has interest in learning to play the guitar! I don't think i'll ever find a better tutor or a better academy.

Dan has brought me up to Grade 5+ standard in just six months. From playing a few chords here and there previously, Dan identified the areas I should work on and gave me all the tools to improve quickly. Dan’s lessons are extremely enjoyable, the most important thing to learning because it also makes practicing enjoyable. Dan tailors lessons to fit with what I want to get out of them. I have a strong interest in song-writing and he identifies the things I should be working on before I even know it myself, so I’m constantly improving my guitar playing and overall musicianship. Nothing beats lessons that are matched to the individual student and what is going to get the most out of them. Whether you’re just starting out, looking to improve certain things about your playing, or looking to improve and just not sure what you need to get to the next stage, Dan would certainly be able to bring great results.

I look forward to my lessons with Bradley. He's always encouraging and positive and takes the time to explain things properly. His natural warmth and enthusiasm helps of course. Definitely the best guitar teacher I've had over the years.

I started playing the guitar a year ago. My first lesson was with Bradley from BGA. Right from the outset Bradley was a seriously friendly guy with an enthusiasm for playing the guitar that was obvious and more importantly, infectious. He has been patient right from my first day to the present. He teaches at a pace that works for me and combined with having fun it makes the lessons something to look forward to. I guess most importantly, he is able to create an atmosphere in which I'm comfortable to learn. I was extremely lucky to happen across him via BGA. A real pleasure and I'm more than happy to recommend him.

Got fed up with saying 'I wish I could play the guitar', so phoned BGA up and booked some lessons with Bradley. Been having lessons with him for a year now and absolutely love it. Having someone to guide, encourage and motivate me to practice, practice, practice is invaluable. He is an inspirational teacher, full of enthusiasm and patience. If, like me. you're wishing you could play the guitar, but never quite got round to it, or you've tried learning from books and been frustrated by it, pick up the phone and call BGA, what have you got to lose?!!!
