There are beautiful paintings in the lower rooms of King George and Queen Mary and another of Queen Elizabeth's coronation banquet. You can see ancient Roman foundations in the lowest part of the building although the exhibition doesn't cause much excitement it's worth visiting because its free!

Amazing art gallery and such an impressive and well kept building. The paintings were beautiful, impressive and very relaxing to view on my lunch break. This was my second visit to the museum and all the staff were super friendly and lovely to chat to. I particularly like the new coronation painting of King Charles 3rd coronation. In the basement there are the remains of a Roman theatre also. Such a rare gem to find an impressive art gallery in Moorgate.

The old Roman amphitheatre, which is well reserved in the basement, is very impressive. They also have a nice collection of paintings.
