The Extraordinaire
Guildford council are quick to take your council tax, but slow to reinvest in public services. Road surfaces in particular have never been so bad. Not just potholes, but crumbling road services. Also, where are the police? Crime and antisocial behaviour is up, yet no police presence. As for litter and bin collection, utter joke. Where is my money Guildford council??????? Shame on you Guildford council!!!!!!

I am sorry to report that Guildford Borough Council employees are acting in a dishonest way. I raised a request for graffiti to be removed from the underpass near George Abbot school. There are several crude scrawlings. I was emailed and told it was removed and the case has been closed. NOTHING has been removed. The graffiti team are falsifying their clean-up activities and, no-doubt, reporting on their success. Case number: 00331668

Genuinely awful - nothing more than glorified debt collectors, they offer little service and absolutely no support. Killing the town around us

Absolutely pathetic. I think the overall google rating of this council speaks for itself. It is made so difficult to pay your council tax, so difficult to get in touch with anyone. It took me so long to set up a direct debit to pay my tax, the prices have increased recently, I did not get notified about this so the payment didn't go through. Instead of calling me, or emailing me to discuss this, they immediately cancelled my direct debit so now I have no way to pay. Joke of a council, all this money and they can't even get a functioning customer service or a working website, sort yourselves out.

Needed the prices on my property tax and the guy got all the details straight away. Had to wait for awhile in the que on the phone but that’s the normal these days.

Council took our bins away and never replaced them. They said they would put us on the ‘sack service’ but never sent us any sacks. I’ve written them numerous emails and constantly falling on deaf ears. I’ve been having to take our rubbish to my work to dispose of it and this has been 7 months now. What a disgrace to the public sector

When you call, the message specifically says wait to talk to someone, but when you do there is a message saying "you didn't pick a number" and even when going through it twice and it finally ringing, no one answers! In addition, the website is totally useless and doesn't allow you to give the information needed to sort out issues. So, in summary, if it was possible to 0 stars I would have because there is not any customer service at all.
