Would recommend avoiding. Nothing close to authentic - just dull with flavourless fillings, not enough cheese and a doughy arepa. Hoped I just had a bad experience but a friend of mine also had a Guasa arepa the next time I came to Spitalfields and had the exact same comments! Yuca fries were, to be honest, disgusting. No flavour, dry and terrible texture. I've had actual arepas and yuca fries in South America and Guasa just does not compare and makes a lovely cuisine bland. Surprised they are still in business compared to how good everything else is in the market.

Got the chicken bowl with side of arepas, must say big disappointment, chicken doesn’t have any flavour, green and red sauces are like few droplets here there, was lacking basic seasoning like salt. Huge huge mistake of buying from Guasa, expected explosion of flavours as Venezuelan cuisine is known for.

I seldom rate a restaurant so poorly. If It’s not to my liking I skip it and move on. But, this restaurant, not only was the arepa bland, salt less and in edible, but the staff was rude. We had to leave the arepa(we are a large family so this is not common.) the fries were crisp but flavourless and the sauce was too little.

I have eaten here before and the arepas are good but the quality has deteriorated to the point that the arepas are not edible. The main issues I encountered were the arepas were soggy and the filling was tasteless. It had large chunks of chicken with no flavour or sauce. Really disappointing experience.

It’s pricey for not a lot of food. Also the yuca fries were only tasty with the sauce, or which there was very little.

Arepa was tasty, crunchy on the outside. Had the smokey bean arepa. Staff was friendly and gave me another sauce because I dropped mine. -1 star because there were almost no spices in the food and no options to add spices (eg hot sauces etc) and the price-value ratio is a little off (11,5) for the meal deal of arepa+chips
