  Adam and Julia were an absolute god send when it came to some renovation work. They were super patient with my requests and helped me come to a great solution. The whole process was easy, convenient and well communicated from Adam and Julia to Ross, Steve and Jake who carried out the work to a fantastic standard. Quotes were all prompt, transparent and competitive. I’ll be using their building services again.

  Got in touch with Guardian to remove internal load bearing wall for an open plan kitchen diner. From the start Adam, Julia and team were incredible. Very responsive, and clear with communication regarding the process and what to expect. Massive benefit for us was them taking care of all the structural calcs and building control (and the associated stress!). Varying options available from just carrying out the structural work, to a completed and plastered finish. Transparent with pricing and prepped us for any potential extras of what typically occurs when they open up and start work (adjustment of additional joists etc). Really helps when planning and factoring in your budget. Was genuinely shocked at how quick they got the work completed, two days and they were done, considering the type of work they left the house in immaculate condition. All the team are really nice and just good people. During the works they found an unsupported chimney, gave us clear and prompt information, with potential options and implications so we could choose what was right for us in that situation, can’t ask for anything more. Julia is a saint, always on call for advice even when the job was finished and we needed to fault find an issue not related to their scope of works. If looking for any type of structural work, definitely get in touch with Guardian Structural.

  We had Guardian in to install bifold doors into our garden and also remove a wall between the lounge and the kitchen. They were really good to communicate with, and even managed to slot our job in earlier than we had hoped. They arranged a structural engineer visit for us to assess what steels we needed, during this he pointed out a missing lintel above another set of patio doors we had. We asked Guardian last minute if this is something they could correct in addition to what we had agreed, they were super accommodating and sorted out that issue for us too! We are awaiting planning permission for an extension, when this comes through we will be asking Guardian to quote in this too!

  I was in the final stages of buying a house that had an unsafe chimney. They responded fast to my request and came round to inspect and quote. They offered a cheaper alternative option that wasnt offered by any other companies or structural engineers. This saved me around £2000. This work was less intrusive on the house and was also approved by my mortgage lender, ultimately allowing me to buy the house we really wanted. The communication was great and super easy via WhatsApp. The work was carried out quickly and to a very high standard. Very professional, cleaned up after. Highly recommend

  We were looking to knock down a load bearing wall between the kitchen and dining room to create a kitchen diner and a utility room.we also boxed off a seperate living room and had bifold doors installed. Guardian were great throughout. They arranged structural engineer and planned out the job. There were various issues that arose but all were solved with a minimum of fuss and trying at all times to reduce costs and give us what we wanted. Beams were installed. Still not sure how they got them in and doors are now in and look great. Adam and Julia made what should have been a stressful experience, much easier. I didnt have a project manager but they answered my questions and guided me through the process. Couldn't reccomend them enough.

  Adam and the team were communicative, friendly, efficient and focused. They removed a first floor chimney breast. It was great work. I highly recommend them. Also thanks to Julia who helped organise dates and times based on what was convenient for both parties. Would come here again for any future structural work.
