Went here this afternoon for a walk with friends and family. We had a really enjoyable walk then sat and had a picnic. The problem was there are NO bins so packed our rubbish up and went into the cafe to dispose of rubbish. An extremely rude and hostile cafe worker marched towards us with a face like thunder and told us very rudely that we have to take our rubbish home. I said there are no bins anywhere to which she snapped "they attract wildlife!!" I fail to understand why there can't be at least a couple of bins near the car park as every time we've been to other woods and forests there has been. The rudeness of this staff member was disgusting and we all felt put off from coming here again!!!!

Sure the Gruffalo trail looks fun, but wander a little further into the forest and you'll start to see the real, understated magic of the woodlands. Do not accept gifts or food from the faeries.

I like coming here, lovely views and my dog loves it too. Picnic area: The picnic area is great for family or friends. There is a pizza van and an ice cream van next to each other, so great if you're feeling hungry. There are toilets too. Parking is not free here.
