A lovely, friendly club in the heart of Old Moulsham. As a family, we have been members for nearly 20 years and have enjoyed great tennis, match play and socials during that time. I am very surprised to read a negative comment, and knowing the coach involved think it is very unfair. If you want to join a well run and successful tennis club, the Grove is hard to beat!!

Love it. Very friendly club with great social events, all levels of player, lovely courts, 4 LTA qualified coaches and coaching programs for Kids and Adults at all levels of ability. People really look out for and support one-another. Opportunities to play in the various league and cup competitors if you want or just play social tennis for fun.

Unfortunately I had an extremely negative experience of individual sessions with Olly Greenslade. I attended a series of sessions which I asked to focus on improving my ground strokes. Despite me repeatedly saying this was the focus I wanted, Olly became increasingly frustrated when I was reluctant to practice volleys and serves, which culminated in him telling me that I wasn’t trying, clearly didn’t want to improve and that he didn’t see the point in me having lessons. I also joked during a lesson that it would be nice to have more encouragement to which Olly replied he wouldn’t do this and that the LTA advise not to give frequent positive comments, he then went on to sarcastically comment “great shot” “well done you got it over the net” for every shot I played after. When I told Olly I felt he was being incredibly rude he told me it’s not rude if what he is saying is a fact! Add on top of this the frequent stops in sessions for Olly to stand and chat about whatever is on his mind - which ranged from how far he could run, to a denial of climate change, to sharing his misogynistic view points, such as women preferring feelings to science - it has sadly been a negative experience all round! I should add that when I contacted Olly to let him know I had found him to be exceptionally rude in the final session, he didn’t respond
