After a cancellation from Dickins Heath surgery, with no explanation. Went to my local surgery, Grove. Unfortunately I did not get the reception lady name. But I can't give more positive review. Very helpful, polite and sorted my issues in a very professional manner. Let's hope SHP is moving in the same direction

I have been with this surgery for approx 2 years. I can honestly say that the reception staff are amazing! Courteous, polite, professional and discreet. They have just spent approx 20 minutes with me sorting out a few queries I had. Despite the queue behind me, they didn’t make me feel rushed. The doctors can be hit and miss. Everyone is entitled to an ‘off’ day, but overall this is a good practice.

Giving 1 star is still very generous to this Grove Surgery. Could never get an appointment. The admins are ridiculous and unprofessional. A group of untrained staff just tried to push you away or to go . private. The GP don't give a ____ about your condition. I feel sorry for those registered to this surgery. Unless

No wonder the Hospitals are at Boiling point. Push dangerous opioid prescriptions at you without properly investigating the cause of the ailment because you are in 24/7 pain with no plan in place to investigate. Have to chase up ordered meds all the time. Get cut off at number 1 in the queue many times. Call handlers blunt and rude (although there is one lady who is super). Partner is definitely changing GPs when new forms are filled in.

Not fit for purpose. Grove Road used to be a great surgery until SHP took over and following COVID it is almost impossible to get an appointment. Call at 0800 and the queue is already full. Advised to call back later then told no appointments available. Can't book online, can't book in advance. People will just end up going private if they are lucky enough to be able to, clogging up A&E or even worse. My 87 year old Mum is having to turn up at 8AM to queue for 30 mins just to try and get an appt. Shocking. Also what about people who work, or are disabled, elderly or otherwise unable to attend the surgery to book. The GPs are generally great when you can actually get to see them but the service is bordering on negligent and someone should be accountable for letting the situation degenerate so badly.Also whoever decided care navigators were a good idea should be given the idiot of the year award.
