Nice caravan site. Located close to a good A road (A171) for easy access, the site is located just over a small hill, so no road noise to disturb the peace. The site caters for tents, touring caravans, motorhomes and has static caravans and pods for hire. The pitches are good and level and are terraced giving lovely views of the countryside. There are a number of facility blocks on this sizable site. Understandably, they were not all open in early June as the site was quiet with few people staying. The family shower rooms were open and were nice but unusually didn't have any towels / hand driers, so do take your own towel. Also there wasn't a mop in the showers, which is a shame as most people are happy to mop the shower floor to keep it looking nice and ready for the next person to use. There's a reception and small shop for essentials. Also, opposite the entrance to the site, there's a nice pub which serves hearty meals for a fair price. All in all it's a nice site. 😎 👍 👍 👍

On arrival Andrew gave a very warm welcome and assisted with getting the van into the pitch. As a result we were set up in record time. The amenities are very well maintained. The views are superb from the upper pitches. Really short walk back down the drive to The Flask pub for a pint or some very good pub grub.

Beautiful quiet location between Whitby and Scarborough. Stunning view of the moors. Good facilities for both tourers and seasonal pitches. Highly recommended

So not the warmest of welcomes from the lady behind the counter, the hut we stayed in was ok but you had to shoulder barge the toilet door every time you wanted to get out, and the signposting on the site was non existent so we ended up going wrong way round the one way route on site, prices in the site shop are just a joke, no point buying anything there, even taking fuel into account it will be cheaper to nip to supermarket down road, it was a decent place to sleep but think I'll try somewhere else next time

Very wet ground for tourers with no hard standing, only suitable in dry periods.
