Superb tour of Classic Team Lotus and Lotus Factory. I organised a private small car club tour covering both Lotus’s racing heritage facility and the adjacent modern production facility. Our guide’s (Nick Duckworth) encyclopaedic knowledge of the Lotus’s racing heritage and of Colin Chapman’s catalogue of innovations keeping Team Lotus at the front of the pack was quite extraordinary. Our ability to get up close to these iconic cars was a real treat too. The factory tour was fascinating, including detailed explanations of the engine and gearbox options on the Emira which was enlightening. Overall, the combined tour took about 4 hours, and is well worth the money. Everyone in our group thoroughly enjoyed the tour. Highly recommended.
