Big Thank You to Group 64 for supporting my daughter throughout the last 5 years. It has been a pleasure to be part of the project, to see her develop into a confident young person. We very much enjoyed the end of term presentations but most of all the chance she had to perform in several plays on stage. I would recommend Group 64, it's a warm, safe environment for young people to develop, grow up and dream big.

I had 11 immensely happy and prosperous years at Group 64 as a member, meeting lifelong friends that have lasted to this very day, and still 7 years on from when I left it holds a very, very special place in my heart. Group 64 helped my confidence and made me the person I am today. Where once as a child I might have been shy and quiet, Group 64 brought me out of my shell with regular Saturday classes from when I was 7 (they've introduced younger classes since - had they been around when I was that young, I'd surely have gone!) Whether you have a desire to become a great actor or public speaker or just want something fun to do and new friends to meet and socialise with once a week, Group 64 is ideal for either. I learned so much about theatre, performance and myself at Group 64. When I went through the tricky transition to secondary school, Group 64 was there as a constant and having those classes to go to once a week, and later plays to audition for and be a part of, made all the difference. We regularly did big ambitious productions but made the most of what we had in the incredible theatre and studio spaces, and the extensive costume cupboard! From a Christmas Carol, to Beauty and The Beast, to His Dark Materials, to Bugsy Malone, to Simon Stephen's Punk Rock and Dennis Kelly's DNA, I felt part of so many different productions and members even get a chance to direct each other in the Young Directors and Young Company projects. But crucially - while we worked hard because we were committed to the shows we did and felt that sense of teamwork with our friends, Group 64 shows, classes and productions were and are, always, amazing FUN. We never felt pressured, but supported by the Group 64 family, and the wonderful sense of community around that little old theatre. I can't recommend Group 64 enough. Come and see the amazing shows, and join yourselves! Or tell your friends, your cousins, your brothers, sisters, nephews, nieces or kids! You won't regret it!

My son loves Group 64. He has been attending their acting (ages 4-6) and musical theatre classes (ages 7-10) for over 3 years. I love G64's child-led approach to performance. My son really enjoys the classes and the excellent teachers. He has grown in confidence and for him performance is fun and natural; it's not a source of fear, pressure or unhealthy competition. Parents are invited to end-of-term performances. I love that these final performances are short, highly imaginative explorations of the inner world of children, performed within a story context. Children learn basic lines, many of which they themselves make up. They also learn the lyrics to songs in the musical theatre classes. In my view, G64 offers the best grounding for budding performers. Classes and performances also take place in one of London's real, working, fringe theatres with a proper stage and seating for 100+, another bonus. G64 is a great theatre group for young people and I highly recommend it! Have a go!
