What a wonderful morning I had making the Chocolate Christmas Pudding. My welcome from Colin was warm and welcoming. I was offered coffee, homemade pinwheel biscuits followed by hot apple punch. My cooking companions were a delight, and we had fun sharing and helping each other along. To end our morning we had a taste of the Christmas pudding which was made earlier followed by a surprise taste of bread pudding which was delicious. It was treats all round. I left knowing I wanted to come back again, and sign up for more courses. if you give it a try...so will you!

Firstly a huge thanks, we all had a wonderful day and met some fabulous people. Interesting, fun and informative along with your clear passion for food and sourcing products.. I don’t think there was anything the guys didn’t try from your huge range of fermenting ingredients and loved every bit of it! We would highly recommend the cookery school and all its facilities including the lovely cafe, so lovely to see all the families enjoying the animals and open space outside.. Thanks again we will be back! Ps: don’t forget to tip up the honey vodka 🤦🏼♀️

We had the most fabulous Fish and Shellfish Cookery Day. A great welcome which continued throughout the day. Every aspect of the course was professionally delivered. Great demonstrations and some interesting hands on work filleting fish and preparing shellfish … Colin’s patience was amazing! His passion and knowledge was inspiring and we learnt so much about preparation and cooking. Loads of lovely tasty samples too ! The day culminated in the most delicious lunch prepared by the participants. This gave us the opportunity to try a range of dishes , a couple of which I would never normally have considered 😊😊😊 Lovely to find some new dishes I can now make at home … our handouts contained useful information as well as recipes for all the dishes. We left tired but very happy. The course was excellent value for money. Totally recommended. Many thanks Colin and Tash

A little late to the party....apologies Collin and Natasha! I wanted to say huge thank you on behalf of my team for the amazing corporate day Colin and the Ground Up Cooker School Pulled off! Completely bespoke to suit our needs (and we can be a fussy bunch). The team was a delight to deal with from start to finish which for me is key when organising any group event. Whilst I may not personally be sold on kombucha the fermentation masterclass was fascinating and pulling off a foraging experience in January was remarkable! So much fun had by all in this idyllic location. I feel it's slightly wrong to say Lunch was my favourite part but it was excellent! What a fantastic business the pair of you have pulled off. Such an enjoyable day spent learning something new! Colin was informative, knowledgeable and clearly has a passion for what he does. His enthusiasm rubbed off on all of us and I am now keen to start experimenting which all different types of fermentation. A great way to experiment with flavours whilst promoting gut health! Looking forward to the xmas pudding day with my 9 yr old!

My niece and I attended the kids & adults christmas pudding workshop which I booked for her as a birthday present & we both absolutely loved it! The staff were great and made us feel so welcome, instruction was interesting and really well organised, it’s a great setting/kitchen and most importantly it was lots of fun. Hope to attend more workshops in the future.
