  I am writing this two week after the procedure for roughly over 6000 hairs, split between the frontal hair line, the bridge and a reconstruction of the crown. I am from Hull and the clinic was in Manchester. GRO arranged and paid for myself to stay in a hotel the night before, the day of, and the day after the hair transplant. The hotel was an Ibis hotel located on Princess Street (which is about a 20 minute walk from the clinic). As this is not a hotel I will not go into details but the hotel was comfy. The day of the procedure - I arrive at the clinic. It is a small office located in the 3rd floor of a multi purpose commercial building. From roughly 10am until 1pm, the surgery extracted the hairs from the donor area. Any time I mentioned i felt any discomfort or the need to fidget, i would ask and the surgeon would tell me when it was safe for me to reposition myself or have more aesthetics applied, trying to make my experience as comfortable as it could be. The frontal hair line was reconstructed first. After the surgeon has completed the left half we stopped and I was given several minutes to look at the work and give my opinions of it before he started doing the ride side of the front. I was mostly happy but there were a few things I did not like. The surgeon was able to make the desired changes that I wanted him to make. Original the temple hair line was quite high and I didn't want to leave a hair transplant looking like I was still receeding. The surgeon changed the design to a result I was happy with. Then the right side was done to match and I was again ask if I was happy with how it looked and given the chance to discuss changes. The surgeon was concerned with what was realistically achievable with the around of head we had to cover and explain this to me on the day. Something I would have probably being told if I'd seem the team in person before 'the day' but it was still not sometime you want to be surprised with on the day. I am happy with the final hair results (at the time of writing this it is two weeks after the surgery so I'm still mostly have a shaved head and cannot see the regrowth results). The crown was then reconstructed. All thought the team was happy to fetch me drinks, toilet breaks and the chance to stretch and move, as well as engage in deep or intellectual conversations. The head technician and surgeon were very pleasant people to spend the day with. I was shown the crown reconstruction once this was competed. During this I ended up watching two movies and then just listened to the music until we finished. Working from 1.30pm until 6.30pm. I won't go into detail but one of the team members recieved call from a family member at about 3pm asking if they'd be home soon. I was a little worried that the team might rush a little in order to finish. From looking at my head two weeks on I don't feel that they we rushed or anything but it was a worry I had during the afternoon, that team member had a short chat after to talk about how I felt with the results and I had the opportunity to thank them and say bye before the left. Now the surgery was compete, all that was left to do was go into the after care I had to follow for the night and apply a bandage over the donor area, then get a taxi back to the hotel. I was given the head technicians contact details and I have being in contact nearly ever day for updates and to answer any questions I have. I came back into the clinic the next morning to have my bandages removed and have another head wash before heading home, something that you don't have to do and I wasn't charged extra for. I was also given a more details breakdown into what to do/ not to due for the next few weeks. I would defiantly use GRO again if I require a top up procedure and I also have my included BRP sessions. The clinic felt very transparent about it's practices and was easy to contact as well as making sure I was comfy during the experience.

  From my initial consultation just before Christmas to recently having the hair transplant done I have been extremely satisfied with the service received so far. Although its early days for the transplant, Mark on the initial consultation made me feel at ease and explained the procedure accurately. Having experienced a first hair transplant in Turkey, which I add was good, I wanted more density and Mark reassured me that the procedure in Manchester would be a lot less stressful and would give positive results. On the day of the transplant I was put at ease straight away and the rest of the day was a breeze. Stopping for a light lunch before getting back on the bed to finish the transplant. Everything was explained and 7 days on it feels and is looking great. I cant thank all the team at Gro for an amazing experience and look forward to my check ups over the next 18 months. Would I recommend you try this clinic..... 200% yes its worth it and paying a little bit more is worth it.

  I’m 30 years old and had been concerned about the amount of hair loss I was going through. My head used to blossom thick hair in my teens and early 20’s, but in the last couple of years I was experiencing substantial amount of hair loss and my hairline was heading further and further back! Hair had always been a big part of my life and visiting my Hairdresser used to be enjoyable, but each visit got more and more upsetting as it was clear that there was less and less hair to cut/style with. I was one of the many men who shaved their head during lockdown but unfortunately couldn’t pull off the ‘Jason Statham’ look! I immediately regretted that decision and decided It was now or never. I’d been considering a hair transplant for some time but I didn’t know a whole lot about them. Researching online, I came across Gro in Manchester. I noticed that they were relatively local to me which was an added bonus, so I plucked up the courage to book in for a consultation (which I was incredibly nervous about). On my visit, Mark made me feel very comfortable and was incredibly reassuring as he guided me through every step of the procedure, and also what sets them apart from other clinics. My procedure was done by Dr Nazir and Sonu, who were incredibly friendly and made the whole experience joyful. I was actually surprised with how straightforward and painless the procedure was, and I was made comfortable and cared for throughout the day. I was very impressed with how quickly my head healed after the surgery, and was given everything I needed to ensure I’d get the best results. The aftercare and support has been incredible, Sonu has answered every question responsively, and always given me complete reassurance. It’s been nine months since I had my procedure and the results are still enhancing! I have absolutely no regrets and feel so much happier and confident in myself. If you’re contemplating on getting a hair transplant, please don’t hesitate, do it right, and go to Gro!
