Always excellent quality meat. Not cheap but value for money. Open early which is the best time to get in and out. Their pies are fantastic too.

Family have been buying meat and pies from Griffin's for probably near on 30 years. Quality meats and pies at very reasonable prices. Never had any issues with anything I've brought from here.

Wouldnt reccomend. Went in once, over priced and rude. I worked as a butcher for my dad many years ago. Would never treat people like that. Voting with my feet! Better meat in lidl!! Avoid.

Will no longer be using this butchers as they allow dogs in there shop, not hygienic in such a small enclosed area, with meats both hanging up and on display, also very miserable and rude manners

Went in with my grandma to get some pasties for lunch, the guy serving me was a bit miserable and moody! Tried paying with card (contactless) and got rejected, so entered chip and pin TWICE and says it has been cancelled both times (i kmew something was up because i knew i had money) so my poor grandma had to pay by cash because i didn't have any on me! Next 5 minutes go by, i go into 3 shops inside the Kennet Centre, used Contactless payments 3 times, all worked first time, no problem. maybe this place is trying to get people to pay by cash because of the rise of energy bills and avoid paying tax, honestly wouldn't surprise me!!!

Griffins - home of the Newbury Sausage. Located right next to the bridge in the centre f town, you can’t miss this excellent butchers. Normally a queue outside shows how popular it is. The staff are all super knowledgeable and won’t hesitate trying to upswell you a few things you didn’t originally go in for! Great sausages, pies, all cuts of meat, Christmas turkeys and much more

Thought I give the pies a go. Felt like a weighty pie. Turns out all pastry no filling. I will stick to the farm shops from now on. Very disappointing
