At Greyhound Trust Dunton, our main focus is finding loving homes for retired racing greyhounds. We aim to raise awareness about the breed and promote their adoption as pets.

How is your organization financially supported?

We rely on donations, fundraising events, and sponsorships from individuals and businesses to support our operations and care for the greyhounds in our shelter.

What is your NGO's approach to accountability and transparency?

We prioritize accountability and transparency in all our operations by regularly reporting our financial records and activities to our supporters and stakeholders. We also have an open-door policy, and anyone can visit our shelter and witness our work firsthand.

What is the adoption process for animals at your shelter?

The adoption process involves filling out an adoption application, a home visit by one of our representatives, and a meet-and-greet with the greyhound you are interested in adopting. We also provide post-adoption support and guidance to ensure a successful transition for both the greyhound and their new family.

Do you provide any training or support for new pet owners?

Yes, we offer training and support for new pet owners to help them provide the best care for their adopted greyhound. Rehomed my lovely Lily from here. She has fit in wonderfully and now a part of the family. She was initially scared of our two cats! After a bit of patience and understanding they've even started sharing the same bed (since it's near the radiator and nice & warm!) So proof that it's true, some greyhounds can live with cats, you just have to meet the right one :) So thankful for the staff who matched us to her, and for the woman on the end of the phone who listened and advised for those first few days getting them used to each other Very professional and caring. Definitely converted me to adopting ex-racing greyhounds for life!
