Despite having a confirmation email for a reservation for Sunday lunch no table was booked on arrival. However, the host was easily able to seat us. In addition, despite having mentioned a garlic allergy on the booking the kitchen was unable to accommodate this. It left an option of only three choices from the mains (of quite an extensive menu), none being the Sunday roasts which I came for! I ended up with fish and chips - the fish was nice, chips were a bit dry. The other members of the group had roast pork which was a bit tough but overall a quite nice meal. So, like a previous reviewer, I feel that being unable to adapt means only a (generous) three star is the result.

Ordered Sunday roast with beef. My notice: If you cut on meat then compensate it on vegetables. Meat slices are too thin. Also if you bring two the same plates then would have been nice to have portions even: talking about size of vegetables, amount of gravy and so on. To be honest place left me hungry and that's not a good sign because it's all about the details. Then service charge: If you charge me then work for it. Don't bring me cold water with ice if I am asking for room temperature water. Also don't keep me waiting at the door for so long when I have the reservation.long Not worth it coming back.

Really nice pub in the neighborhood, my Sunday go-to as I am usually out for a stroll around Greenwich park. They have a cosy heated garden and are dog friendly. The only thing that puts me off is table service, you have no way of ordering drinks at the bar and waiters can be quite busy. Beer selection is good but quite limited.
