Kemnal Park is stunning, I didn’t think I would ever say that about a cemetery! Met a wonderful friendly lady from the office as well. Would highly recommend Kemnal Park.

Unfortunate the toilets are locked right now and I need to pee badly. Lol. Been coming here for four years now. As much as I would've rather not be in a cemetery, this cemetery is lovely and makes mourning/ remembering as good as can be. Relatively quiet, except for the noise of the A20.

One year on from posting this review, and the situation remains the same. January 2023 This cemetery is ecological and ethical abomination. My mum has been buried here in a "woodland grave" since 2018, in what was supposed to be a lovely wood in a protected conservation area. See before and after photos of my Mum's grave attached. You'll see that the wood surrounding the "woodland graves" is completely gone. The grave is one of 11 woodland graves that have been dug here since 2016 (all of which were pretty expensive vs the average cost of a normal burial). Then, during December 2020 Green Acres cut down these woods without telling anyone, as part of a planned expansion the cemetery. Out of 15 acres of oak woodland (some of it ancient) only 7 acres of woodland now remain, and this can apparently be felled or interfered with at a later stage, under previously granted planning permissions. Green Acres have never informed any of the families with loved ones buried here in advance of this development taking place, either prior to plots being purchased or before the felling of the woods. It turns out that planning permission was granted by Bromley Council back in early 2016 before to any of these woodland graves were ever dug and sold by Green Acres. We have now spent nearly a year fighting this, trying to get Green Acres to replant a reasonable area of woodland around the graves. This still hasn't been done. They are now trying to make maximum profit out of every available square foot of land at the cemetery, seemingly without a thought for the families whose money they have already taken, or for the conservation area that they are supposed to be the custodians of. They are selling off large areas of the site at vastly discounted rates to other local authorities, such as Tower Hamlets who have themselves run out of burial space. At the same time, they are charging tens of thousands of pounds for Bromley local residents and other private individuals to purchase family plots in what is supposed to be an "oak woodland setting" in a conservation area. Green Acres is owned by an asset management company who are simply looking to make a fortune out of turning prime greenfield real estate into burial ground. They stand to make a "killing" out of the pandemic, at both the expense of local conservation area and the families that have paid for relatives to be laid to rest in "woodland plots", only to then see them destroyed irreparably. The oak woodland that they have felled in Chislehurst was at its youngest 80 years old growing since WW2, and its its oldest well over 100-150 years old. We will never see it again. This whole enterprise is a travesty, and one for which Green Acres aren't particularly apologetic. The Kemnal staff on site are lovely (in the main) but are left powerless in this matter, with all enquiries and decisions being handled by senior management, who are based in Edinburgh. So based on this, I would not recommend having a loved one buried here in the first instance. I may change my mind as and when they do the right thing, and properly establish a new area of woodland around the graves that they have needlessly desecrated. Instead, look for nicer green burial places with properly managed woodland outside of the M25. It's a decision that you'll only make once, so make sure that you don't regret it.

Going to the cemetery yesterday. It amazed me how wonderful the grounds are . I would like to thank Kelly and her team for looking after my family and myself for all this time since my husband passed and is buried here. He was a very avid gardener and grounds keeper. It makes me smile so much to know he would be so happy to be in such a wonderful garden. Thank you wholeheartedly. Mrs V. Yusuf

Liked it is a strange way to describe a place that holds funerals but the staff and venue was fantastic. My only gripe is about the parking

Beautiful surroundings and lovely place to hold a funeral . However , attention to detail is extremely poor and staff really unhelpful. The photo of our loved one during the funeral service was not the correct image we had selected. We asked for the live feed of the funeral to be stopped at the end before we had private time with the coffin, this was done, but on the recorded version this was left on - Kemnal park’s responsibility, shameful. We returned the following day to find our flowers had been stolen. The office were not remotely interested or helpful (apart from Angie); two women had arrived 10 mins before closing saying they’d come to collect some flowers - they sure did , taking ours and several other peoples' flowers and wreaths. They obviously didn’t question or check in any way, utterly disgraceful. Would not check cctv- had to get funeral director involved. Now police informed but unlikely to do anything. In all , do not rely on this unhelpful lot. Making a sad situation even worse.

Amazing experience from the planning stages of my friend’s funeral. Extremely grateful for the team at Kemnal Park Cemetery who are friendly, welcoming, and helpful! Angie, who was my point of contact throughout the whole process was amazing with communication and always available to answer any queries via email/phone. The park is well maintained and I will recommend it to anyone looking for a cemetery.
