Green Lawns was a gem of a find when we first moved to Harrow. Comprising of a passionate, dedicated and incredibly talented team, this nursery has helped my daughter to thrive, explore and learn at a phenomenal rate. The strategy of having a small intake really helps the children grow in confidence, feel safe and become part of a little family. Roopa manages the nursery incredibly well. She is very supportive to the parents whilst being assertive to always prioritise the needs of the children. The teams focus, drive and creativity shines through in all of the lessons planned each day. Communication for parents is great and the network the parent build separately is a really positive experience. My daughter started just before the initial lockdown, so it was a different first year than expected for everyone. However, the team were able to excel under pressure, and the experience only got better as restrictions ended. I highly recommend choosing this nursery if you are flexible with term time only requirements.

When My son joined Green Lawns Montessori School, he had no speech, wasn't even trying to say anything apart from ahh, he would simply point to the things he needed and say ahh, after swiftly settling in, we found that he had started saying a few sounds only after a few weeks of being there. The school focused on his speech and was able to do one to ones with him, impressed with how quickly he had learnt to say a few sounds and words we decided it would be best to send him full days from jan 2022. After joining full day sessions, we saw a quick And tremendous increase in his speech, he started had started putting two words together. Greens lawns school has smaller classes and a small child to teacher ratio which really allows them to assist all children in the areas they require. The school has given us support and have always advised us on what we can do as parents to also improve his speech. Now he has many things to says, he can say up to 6-7 words together in one sentence and likes to talk all the time

Green Lawn Montessori is outstanding. The teachers are so friendly and professional and have been so dedicated in helping my daughter settle in making it a really smooth transition. During the pandemic, the staff have shown that the health, safety, comfort and well being of all the children is paramount. I'm very impressed with the measures taken to ensure that staff and students remain safe and healthy. My daughter spent one year at GLM and her confidence and social skills grew no end. She followed the structured learning program and gained a wonderful basic knowledge of math, reading, writing, phonetic alphabet and geography. GLM also encouraged her creative side with singing, dancing, gym, drawing and painting activities. The artwork she brought home on a daily basis has made a wonderful display in our home. Would definitely recommend!

GLM is such a wonderful, warm and nurturing nursery. Our son did not settle well at his first nursery after the first lockdown when he was moved to a different class. He experienced a totally different atmosphere with the teacher who was her carer at the time. We knew something was not right as he used to come home and did not want to go to the nursery. He was very scared to go to the nursery and we knew we had to do something. We realised, that he is not enjoying and was no longer happy there which affected his confidence drastically. We started looking at other nurseries, and came across GLM. We went to check it out and as soon as our son went in and met the teachers and other children, he did not want to come home with us. We instantly knew, GLM was the right place for him. In January 2021 he joined GLM, and he settled in so well straight away. He enjoys going to GLM, and is ready early every day to go to nursery. All the teachers at GLM are amazing. The teachers are happy, kind, warm, loving , caring and very nurturing and always have a smile on their face and the positive impact they have had on our son was clearly evident. Our son has grown in confidence and progressed rapidly and is so happy at GLM . We are so grateful that we found GLM. We wished we would have started him earlier at GLM. We would highly recommend it to any parents.

My 3 y.o. has been at Green Lawns for 5 months now. I highly recommend this nursery. I visited a number of nurseries before settling for this one. Green Lawns has a great teacher to child ratio (minimum 1:5) whereas most others operate on 1:8. This has made a huge difference to my child as she has picked up so much in just 5 months. Being a bi-lingual child, she has picked up a good level of English at the nursery and just within a couple of days of joining, to my amazement, she had learnt her colours and numbers up to 10! The staff were very helpful in the settling-in phase and spent a lot of 1:1 time with my daughter to help her with the separation. I'm not sure how this would have worked out in a nursery with a reduced teacher to child ratio. The grounds that the nursery is based on is beautiful. A huge, verdant lawn at the front of the nursery, a secure play area at the back and access to tennis lawns when the grass is muddy. The range of activities and books in the nursery is vast and caters for all ages and interests. I'm looking forward to attending the popular workshops that the nursery organises.

My daughter goes to Green Lawns nursery School and she absolutely loves it, from day one. It's a welcoming, warm and friendly environment. She settled very quickly and I only wish that I sent my older son there. It's great to see how the school encourages my daughter to be independent, creative and well mannered. She's very happy when she's dropped off in the morning and she enjoys the various activities and trips, especially learning how to plant beans in the school's garden, watch them grow and later enjoy them as part of a healthy snack. All the teachers are helpful, understanding but more importantly, always happy and smiling which goes to show how much they enjoy their job. There's so much more lovely things that they do at Green Lawns school and I highly recommend GL. :) :)

We chose to send our daughter to Green Lawns having been recommended it highly. It was the warm family friendly atmosphere, clear passion for learning and inclusive atmosphere that won us over. They have an open door policy which gave us lots of confidence, that there really was nothing to hide. We started our daughter at Green Lawns during Jan 2021. At the age of 2 she had spent the most of her second year at home with limited contact with others due to the pandemic and lockdowns. Consequently, when settling her in we were faced with significant issues around separation anxiety. Roopa and her colleagues were incredibly supportive when I highlighted the challenges that had manifested at home and we quickly devised a joint plan. Roopa and all the teachers were just so brilliant at listening to our concerns, and although they had not faced something like this before – they pulled every trick out of the bag from their extensive collective experience and within 2 weeks our daughter had settled well. It has been remarkable! Our daughter absolutely loves it. She is the youngest of the group but is integrating herself in to the activities. They are supporting her with toilet training and she’s already made so many friends. What they’ve done for her social and emotional development is nothing short of a miracle and we can’t thank the staff enough. I cant wait to continue our journey at Green Lawns, because I know that once this pandemic is over and there are fewer restrictions – the offering from Green Lawns will be even greater.
