My son is 23rd old, a type1 insulin diabetic and has been for 16yrs. Whilst on holiday in Newquay, Cornwall he ran out of insulin. We rang 111 for advice. The advice given was to contact our GP (Green Lane Medical Centre) and they will organise an emergency prescription and send it electronically to a pharmacy close to where we are staying. We did this as directed by 111 and also medical advice which is clearly online. I was shocked to be told by a receptionist at Green Lane that they were unable to do it and refused to do it!!! She told us to go to a walk in centre near where we were. As diabetes can be life threatening we had no choice. Walk in centre were appalled at the attitude given. They pointed us in the direction of the next door pharmacy who issued an emergency supply prescription immediately. They were also shocked at the attitude of our GP surgery. Pharmacy were absolutely brilliant and bent over backwards for us. Green Lane failed my son.

Dr Ahmed should be ashamed of himself. I called about a very sensitive matter, he rudely spoke over me said what he had to say (which turns out was a lie) not helpful in anyway and then cut me off. Any time I have seen him he is overly friendly telling me I'm beautiful. I will be taking this further as my appointment would have been cancelled else where if I had gone off what he said. Disgusting little man

Has been my surgery for over 20 years. The Dr's are all great, as are the Nurses. Never had any issues with getting an appointment when required, although the wait on the phone sometimes can be frustrating. The recent improvements where you can contact the surgery online 24-7 and get a response within a few days depending on severity of your issue is excellent and super convenient. It also means you don't have to wait in a queue of people on the phone for hours to discuss getting an appointment...which isn't the receptionists fault...although at times I do agree with others that they could be a bit friendlier! Made me chuckle today, I was visiting with my children and I had to open the glass myself to talk to the receptionist properly, think she wanted me to shout through the 1cm gap! Hahaha. Maybe it's been a long week... I will also add that I've used both Harnall and Green Lane surgeries through the years. I couldn't tell you the reasons for why, but Green Lane is consistently better.

The receptionists there are a complete car crash and don't care about you! They never let you speak and accuse you of being rude when they're the ones talking over you! Yes the doctors are decent but I wouldn't EVER recommend this place and the only reason I even go here is because it's the closest one to my home.
