I don't even think Green's estate agents at Castle Bromwich even deserve 1 star, but I cannot give zero. We where buying a property through this branch for 7 months, up until the end of January 2023, that was when our mortgage offer, which we had extended, ran out. The property we wished to buy still had not gone through by then, so we could not continue. No one at the branch showed any concern, the only time we even heard from the branch manager was an email after 7 months, stating a failed sale. They just did the bare minimum, then when we complained to the director, Mr Watkeys I received a very blunt reply, and he blamed everyone else, the sellers solicitor, the leasehold management company , but ofcourse, not the estate agents who where selling the flat. We lost our great mortgage rate, 2.5%, and still had to pay all our fees, all for nothing. So my advice is, don't use this estate agent to buy or sell, as if they had been truthful with the actual property management fees, which where double than what we where told we would not have even considered buying the property. And the fact that cannot be disputed by Greens, is that we only found out the real leasehold fees after 7 months of being in the buying process... on our final day of the mortgage offer running out, and our solicitor had no time to complete the necessary checks as there was no time left. In my opinion, this flat shouldn't have been put on the market until all the necessary paperwork was in place, and how on earth did it take 7 months for this to happen is a disgrace, and a waste of months of our time, and money. And to end the sale/fiasco, the flat went straight back on the market, and it was SSTC within 24 hours.
