I first saw Green and Carter Hydrams in Kikuyu Land in Kenya at the age of 19 in 1964. First manufactured in 1774, indeed ... Green and Carter in a quiet way have been making them and supplying them for water pumping all over the world, especially to so-called developing countries. They are quiet and require no fuel and very occasional maintenance. Here at Sholai School, CLOAAT, Kodaikanal, India, we have a Hydram that has been pumping since 2005. We need another one. If you have a stream or brook or river and wish to pump water up to even 1000 feet, consider installing a Hydram.
