My husband and I celebrated our wedding at Great Lodge and we couldn't have hoped for a more spectacular venue. A stunning barn, gorgeous grounds, a lake full of ducklings, a field of alpacas (we made alpaca feeding part of the wedding!) and everything we had dreamed of. Every single guest commented on how beautiful it was. Rebecca is a wonderful, calming presence and very open to any ideas we came to her with. We particularly loved how we could plan our entire day, arrange our own catering, and do things exactly as we wanted - unlike lots of similar venues. Taz and other staff members were consummate professionals and we barely noticed them all day, arranging everything perfectly. Highly recommended!

Gorgeous converted barns amidst a vineyard and alpaca farm, beautiful grounds and very quiet, tucked away in nature. Lovely farm shop with a delicious wine selection! Food & drinks: Co-op is 5 mins drive away to get supplies, Braintree village is 17 mins drive if you want to shop or go out to eat.

We had tickets for the Sunday picnic with live jazz. Beautiful hidden place, very cosy and well maintained. The performance was excellent, the wine very good, the atmosphere very relaxed and friendly. We will be back for sure!
