Having had great fish and chips from here in the past, just before covid, I thought I treat myself tonight. The staff were friendly but the fish portion has to be the worst, I wish I'd checked before I headed off home. The batter was dark brown, greasy and the fish within was about 3 inches long and 1/2 inch thick. I've noticed that fish in general from fish and chip shops is most often a disapointment these days. Perhaps it reflects it has become a commodity that's no longer sustainable. So with regret I'm not going to bother buying it again from anywhere.

Used to be a great place to order evening meals every so often. Now they're under new management with new drivers with no personal knowledge of the area. The food is disgusting, bland and I would not suggest to anyone in my wildest dreams to use this business.

Awful disappointing food. Curry had a sweet taste yuk, chicken balls where rock hard, rice was horried. Went straight in the bin. Il rather pay alot more for my food than eat that. Yuk yuk yuk. Can't post 0 star

I cannot understand the negative reviews. I have always used another Chinese in the past (not in Dunmow) and even when we used to think their food was good it was nothing compared to what we had last night from here. Absolutely massive portions of fantastic food. I honestly cannot remember having such a good Chinese meal

Absolutely awful meal from the great dunmow Chinese tonight - I don’t know who was in charge of the cooking tonight but dear god, deep fried pancake rolls, the chicken and sweetcorn soup was the consistency of water, no sauce on the chow mein and the majority of a salt mill in the barbecue sauce, which tasted completely wrong too and nothing like it used to. I would say the only edible thing here tonight was the prawn crackers!!!!! - I’ve had a takeaway from here loads of times over the last ten years and this is by far the worst it’s ever been, such a shame too, will be a very long time till I order another one

Wow!! Absolutely delicious meal, our first meal here tonight portions are extremely generous, The chicken satay is the best we have ever had in any Chinese over the years actually made with real peanut sauce its absolute must have mouth watering. The king prawn chow mien was fresh with large king prawns very tasty would recommend Compliments to the chef !! thank you for our delicious meal 😋 If there was one thing could of done with the curry being little bit more hot bit bland but still delicious. Great delivery service very polite staff And no faults in the order what so ever ;;0))).
