Our one night stay here was very enjoyable. The hotel is in a fabulous location meaning it's only a short walk into the centre. One of my main concerns when looking for hotels in York was parking. Grays Court has a number of spaces and what looked like an overflow through some gates when it was full. We didn't have a problem but were advised to phone ahead of arrival to secure a space. We were charged £20 extra but it provided piece of mind and is very much an industry standard now, especially in City Centre's. All staff we came across were very polite, especially Suzanne (apologies if I have this wrong), who gave us a guided tour of the hotel before showing us to our room. The room was lovely with all standard amenities supplied. Breakfast next day was within a two hour window (8am - 10am), and was enjoyable. One very small gripe was that there was no baked beans with the full English. Check out was smooth and the gift bag on departure was a nice touch.

From the moment you arrive, the service is excellent. The tasting menu at The Bow Restaurant is amazing; one of the best we've experienced and in a formal, but relaxing atmosphere. Again superb, attentive staff. We stayed in Edwards room with amazing copper bath upstairs- luxurious! Breakfast one of the best you'll ever eat and location adjacent to the minster is unrivalled. Very highly recommended.
