Visited for a private event in April - the service was truly excellent and the food was amazing. The primary selling point is the setting though, make sure to take a walk around the gardens which are lovely. If not driving, you can get the train to Haywards Heath and get a taxi.

I've reviewed Gravetye before, but for us, it is just a magical place where you can go and relax in a world away from the day to day. This trip was for my wife's special birthday, and the Gravetye team couldn't have done more to make it a very special occasion. Always subtle, always understated, always perfect. Looking forward to our next visit.

Visited for 'seasonal' lunch. It wasn't the most relaxed experience tbh. Staff are convivial but somewhat lacking in humour. Food wise, this is a top tier place and was perhaps lost on us - with extremely sparse courses served rapidly (to the point that one was thrown on the floor). This is Fat Duck aficionado territory - so if enjoy emulsions, foams and quinelles etc...The gardens are beautiful, so make time to wander around. Front desk lady and door man were charming!
