We checked into the hotel & was told my receptionist we paid too much for the room which would of been lower level, so the receptionist upgraded us (which was very nice of her) to a room on level 2. When we got to the room altho it was clean & a bigger bed. When I made a cup of tea the little pots of milk was off, couldn't see a o/o/d on it, round the bath/tiles was mould. The TV remote didn't work. Just made us think what the room on lower level (what we should of had) was like. After getting back from the show we had a alcoholic drink at the bar & the guy at the bar didn't know what he was doing. In the morning we went down for breakfast 1 hour after opening, didn't have certain things left cooked wise & was told they wasn't cooking anymore! Very disappointing experience. Lovely place, very friendly staff, the rooms are very dated. The windows were so in need of repair. Cracked tiles in the bathrooms. Unfortunately, not the hotels fault, I sleep in super king... a double bed is far too small... really bad night sleep. Would I return? Maybe if it was more like £100 rather than £180...

(Translated by Google) A hotel to avoid: very old, single-glazed window, lift that can be heard from the rooms, 120cm bed for two… nothing has been renovated and the TVs date from before the 2000s. It is a historical monument. Not a 4 star hotel. Booked a double room for me and my boyfriend and we were given two single beds pushed together. The rooms facilities were mostly broken: broken remote, light into bathroom broken, plug had burn marks in the morning from the plug in fan, shower doors all broken, broken bag table that fell when we got into the room. The floors slopped significantly and so did the bed. This was an awful bed to sleep in.

I was given a smaller room than I paid for. The tv didn’t work, mold in the bathroom, faucet came off in my hand when I tried to shower, tiles drilled into the wall and loose on the floor, crazy uneven floor than made me slide if I wore socks in the bathroom, tv hadn’t been dusted in a while. Location was great, but that’s about it. Would not stay here again or recommend to anyone else. Walkability: Super close to British Museum
