AVOID AT ALL COSTS!! The worst hotel I have ever stayed in! The hotel was hot and humid, the room itself had no temperature controls of any kind. This was less of a hotel room and more of a dark and dingy cave with minimal facilities and a bed that was closer to a rock than any kind of mattress. Bath and sink had some kind of green gunk covering the plugholes, the TV couldn't be seen from the bed and there were clear damp patches on the ceiling. Booked for 2 nights but checked out after the first to go stay somewhere else! It says everything you need to know about this hotel that when we left early and told the receptionist that we were checking out because of how terrible the room was, all she said was "okay, well have a nice day." No apology or attempt to get us to remain or anything. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!

The room was small. Heating was on full blast. Was difficult even with the window open. Shower was not good. No space in bathroom and all the toiletries were placed on the sink. The door was locked with no sign to redirect 4 doors down to a hotel with a different name. If not for the location, I would have given one star.

Update as of July 2022: Booked this hotel again but got worried about the bad reviews lately on google and booking. Emailed and asked about it. Got no response. Ended up booking another hotel instead. Walked passed this one when we arrived and it looks closed. Door was locked. Nobody around. Glad we chose another establishment. This feels like a scam. A bit pricey for what this hotel has to offer. Room was a decent size. As was the bathroom. Everything feels clean and up to date but the fitted rug (although cozy) feels outdated. On occasion the room was very hot. Room had safe, kettle and decent Wifi. I really miss a fridge! Staff in reception seems to change often and it’s a bit annoying they don’t recognize at the front desk.

We had booked for a weekend. One week before, we were informed that the hotel guests had to be transferred to the sister hotel due to internal health problems. Of course we had understanding for this. Today came the message that this hotel now also close and the reservation does not take place. The staff has tried to call us 20 times to tell us that we have to cancel until 12 o'clock, otherwise the reservation will not be canceled with costs. Is it still going on? The hotel closes and we have to cancel? We could not have arrived anyway! Instead of giving us a recommendation or another credit, we only got to feel this unfriendly service. Now we have to look for a new hotel 1 1/2 days before arrival! Not recommended!!!

Nice hotel, friendly staff, clean room, perfect for a few days get away. Russell Square is a nice area as well. Breakfast was lovely. View from the room was of the garden area. Teas, and coffee in the room. Comfy bed, TV and trouser press. Bathroom was on the small side. I would return to this hotel for it's handy location.
