I have decided to join Grad Careers Coach back in December last year. I am an international MA student and want to seek some professional support on my career path. I randomly saw the website of Grad Careers Coach through google, and I got in touched with Jian through the website. We had excellent communication, and he has offered me a lot of guidance and advice. For any international student who wants to get to know insights of the job market and job-seeking process in the UK, it could be very confusing and challenging in the first place. Though I have worked in China for 5 years before, I still found it really difficult and challenging to sort out my career goals and path here in the UK. Working with Grad Career Coach during my master program just made my study life and career preparation in the UK really practical and fruitful. I gained great support from Re’anne, Leinda, and Anika on my CV, career goals, how to write cover letters, how to promote myself, how to build my Linkedin profile, I have seen myself making great progress even after half of the coaching sessions. Before I started it, I was a bit doubtful about the effectiveness of online coaching session. But then I realized it's conducive. Because I got my weekend to study and stay at home, I only need to talk to my coach and prepare for the session ahead. The second thing is that you might think I could get one version of CV and covering letter, and I could start applying for jobs, I guess you could, but I have updated my CV to 30 versions for the last 4 months, and every time I think it was perfect to go, there is always place to make it better. It's not like a quick process to get it done once. Guidance and advice on the way is really significant. Though there is much information online, if you want to gain great success and make the best out your time before your visa expires, my advice is to make the best out of the support you can get. Such as the help from the career centre in your university, the resources everybody could reach online, and then let the professional coaches further guide and guarantee your progress and the ultimate goal of finding a job with Tier 2 visa sponsorship. Above is my feedback of my experience working with Grad Careers Coach, I hope it will be useful for future students who are interested in seeking for the support. Grad careers coach has helped me to successfully find a tier 2 job. Before them I had been trying to find a job for a long time without any success. I had applied to more than 40 companies and received rejection from all of them. Then, I found them through their online advertisements and decided to take one of their online sessions as I was desperate for some guidance. The session was very informative and helpful and made me realize that I had been going about it the wrong way and this was the reason for my rejections. I then changed my approach and applied to companies which were more likely to sponsor. I reached out to them and joined their program. They were quick to reply and I was provided with a tier 2 sponsor list of companies tailored to my needs and requirements. They got me in touch with Lienda ( a coach). She is an amazing recruiter with a lot of experience and is always willing to help. I had around 10 sessions with her in which she helped me understand what the recruiters in UK are looking for and how to prepare for different stages of the recruitment process. She even helped me to prepare for video interviews and my assessment center by discussing how to go about them. This helped me to understand the process and channelize my efforts accordingly. In hindsight, I strongly believe that without her guidance and reassurance especially after rejections it would not have been possible for me to find a job because sometimes the disappointment is so bad that you don’t want to continue and want to quit. I would highly recommend Grad Careers Coach to all International students as I believe that without their guidance it is very difficult for us to understand what the companies are looking for and what companies are more likely to sponsor. I believe that the coaching sessions and assessment center workshops provide priceless knowledge which helps you to become the best version of yourself on the day it matters the most.

I'm a student from the US and from September I applied to many grad jobs but kept getting rejected which was frustrating. When I googled tier 2 jobs, I found Grad Careers Coach and joined their Platinum coaching programme. I was matched with a coach who I spoke to every week. He provided me with a strategy so I wasn't just applying to jobs at random, and he gave me advice on how to pass interviews. My pass rate for telephone interviews got to 100%, and then when I got invited to 2 assessment centres I knew the coaching was making a real difference. I'm with Grad Careers Coach for 2 months, but they're the most important and valuable 2 months for me, cause my visa will expire next month, I was desperate on the job hunting. Dan is my coach, he is soo helpful, he helps me to know myself, know how to show myself in the application progress. And Anika is so nice and trustworthy, I got lots of helps from her when I did my internship interview, though she is not my coach. This experience is worth for me, I start to feel I could do better if I know them earlier.
