The walk to the restaurant possibly has the worst accessibility for a person with a walking dissability we've ever seen, and whilst the restaurant is OK, once you get there (there is little or no signage), (we had to ask 3 people for directions) the food is a bit of a slip back to the 70's with over cooked fried eggs, tasteless ham and no avocado in the 'Smashed Chick Pea and Avocado sandwich; the chips were nice though.

We had booked the conservatory for a baby shower on Saturday 20th , Everything was amazing the food was great, there was so much. Vicki who served us all day was brilliant, they made sure everything on the day was great for us . Great place for a get together.

On Saturday 29th myself and an elderly friend visited the restaurant for lunch. We ordered lasagna and it was a treat from my friend to me for supporting her. Sadly the meal was not up to standard, I have never tasted a lasagne like it, there was numerous laser of pasta on the top not cooked properly and grated cheese and béchamel sauce on the top. The cheese was still in grated pieces and had not been grilled or melted. The meal was Luke warm and all in all not good. A friend also made a complaint to the kitchen just before we arrived as her chicken pie had not been heated enough and was still cold in the middle. This is not the standard we are use to in Gould’s, what has happened?? I didn’t complain as was being treated but my friend was very upset and disappointed. Also the return t is very big now and the ordering system does not work. Elderly have a long way to walk if in the new area and whoever orders has to leave their table to queue and this can and is a lengthy time when you’re busy. Geographically it does not work. I am sorry to be so negative it truly I’m sad as I enjoyed eating in Gould’s until this w/e. I hope you will be able to given this some attention. I hope you will seriously look into the points I have mentioned. Many thanks.
