I booked the horse drawn carriage ride in May 2022 when the bluebells in the woods were at their best. Jonye and his wife made the trip so magical for my mother who celebrated her 90th birthday. They couldn’t do enough and all along the way made sure we were safe and comfortable. Mum has Alzheimer’s, so they were extra patient and nothing was too much trouble. We felt very special, stopping for tea and cake during the ride which was on a beautiful private estate. The highlight was seeing a deer amongst the bluebells..unfortunately my phone camera wasn’t good enough to capture. Such a memorable afternoon..would highly recommend!

I had a 2hour learning experience with Joe for my birthday. Driving is something I have always wanted to learn. It’s was fantastic! The horses were lovely, calm and so well trained, Joe was a brilliant teacher, so knowledgeable and clear in his instructions with a unique way of helping me experience the reins before even getting into the trap. I was driving round a course at the end which I never thought I could have done at the start. I thoroughly recommend this, a great gift for the horsey and not so horsey, I left with huge smile on my face and a great sense of achievement.

I had the pleasure of a horse and carriage drive by Gotwick Horse Drawn Carriages yesterday afternoon . It was a birthday present from my partner . Well it’s probably the best birthday present ever . It was a truly magical experience being driven through the forest by Jo Nye and his son and their beautiful horses Marius and Modeste . With just the clip clop of the horses hooves and the birds singing and seeing an occasional deer I just felt at one with nature . Along the way we stopped and had a glass of Champagne and Strawberries and the delicious birthday muffins supplied by Jo,s wife . It was just perfect. It was the best birthday present ever . An very special experience that I will never forget and one that I would highly recommend to anyone.

The woods are utterly magical and Modeste and Marius are such gentle, beautiful horses, nothing felt rushed, we were truly welcomed.
