Update: After leaving a 1-star review, a manager got in touch with me the next day and sorted out my problem. They agreed to pay for the late filing, change the accountant and waved the next months fee. I will have to see if the new accountant is up to the task, but so far impressed that the company took my compaint seriously and have made corrective actions. Can someone in a management position get in touch with me. Very disapointed with the service. I have been chasing my accountant (the same one named in other reviews for being poor) for over 4 weeks to get the accounts done before the deadline today and only got them when I asked to talk to his manager. I had a few queeries as there seemed to be some errors, he has sent the revised accounts through a few hours ago and they took totally different than what I expected. I'm not sure they were checked before sending out. Looks like we won't make the HMRC deadline as the books have not been kept uptodate by you even though I have kept everything in order on FreeAgent. Update: Management have gotten in touch with me and seem to be making the right noises but lets see if they deliver....

We used Gorilla for three different companies...correspondance was slow, our contact Chris Hilton was always OOO and slow to respond to emails, and didn't understand basic and fundamental questions, so we left in August 2022 after about a year. I would recommend paying a little more and getting a better service. Probably ok if you have a dormant company but any transactions and it becomes a headache. They have such high volume as is their business model so don't expect anything more than generic advice you could Google. If you're a small business owner who wants to outsource finance, don't use Gorilla. It's more hassle than it's worth. Learn to do it yourself or pay a better accounting firm. Avoid.
