Been twice. First time beckenham second was Dudley. Worst thing about Dudley, you can watch all sports on tv, have a chipped stick for ppv, staff don’t care. Leave when you want, drink, take drugs and gamble. Rule’s never been taken seriously, clicky and staff (not all) don’t have a clue!!! I’m worst off before I went in!

Just a poor experience with gordon moody. Had the unfortunate circumstances in my life to be through their doors twice. First time in 2018 the place was amazing could feel the drive for everyone to get better, now it's a money hungry organisation that only cares about how much they can shake out of your pockets before discarding you. Was extremely unsatisfied with their services, staff ludicrously unrestrained. So much so if people actually knew they wouldnt believe it. All I can say is stay away from gordon moody, try and find alternative solutions for your gambling addiction plenty of other actual charities and companies willing to help. Would never ever recommend gordon moody to anyone

My son is in Gordon moody in dudley at the moment and the care he is receiving there for his gambling addiction is nothing short of scandalous. He was promised help with courses that never materialised and when he asked about this they denied it was said and to compound matters they said he might have to leave even thought he has been there for a few months. It is all about money and they just treat him as an atm. Then to make matters worst for him they say he is Irish even though he lives in Northern Ireland and he pays taxes to the British government and has a British passport and the money he pays them has the queen's head on it. and his national flag is the union jack, is he being discriminated against because of where he is from? , would this happen if he was form Wales or Scotland. He went there for help as he was in a bad way mentally due to his gambling addiction. I am very disappointed that a charity employs people that discriminates against somebody that just went there as they needed help and we his family have tried for years to help him and we were mistaken to think that Gordon moody would be the charity that could finally help him with his addiction and the mental illness he is suffering because of it. So sad and disappointed.

So today I left Gordon Moody after 14 weeks there...the changes in me is huge and throughout my stay I got all the support I needed to get me to where I am today...I feel this has gave me a 2nd chance in life which when I walked thru the gates 14 weeks ago I didn't see as possible...The therapists and work groups make you realise how messed up you are when your gambling and how it is possible to retrain your brain...I would recommend Gordon Moody to anyone who has a gambling problem ...be prepared tho to go to places you havent visited for sometime...respect the programme and work hard and the results are immense...I also spent Christmas at Gordon Moody and will encourage men who want to go in around that time to do it as Gordon Moody looked after all the residents at this difficult time(if you have children)especially and lots of activities were arranged during that week...Gambling ruins lives/families/friendships...you still have hope if you do the Gordon Moody programme..I cant thank them enough....so if you have a problem with gambling...call them asap and get the help everyone deserves to give you a better future...Ian Richard's.. now ex resident

Really disappointed with GM. My son lives with me but there was no advice or support for the family post therapy which is massively important. Joint meetings pre discharge would have assisted greatly. My son took a downward spiral 2 weeks after leaving and is living a a very chaotic life. He had bad news whilst in GM but it appears he wasnt given extra support and the tools to deal with what he was to face. Lack of weekend cover leaves residents vulnerable. Feel very let down.

I gambled for over 35 years and lost everything that mattered to me in my life, my wife, my kids, my employment opportunities, our family home. I also lost trust and respect from friends & family along with my own self respect and dignity. I had absolutely NO-ONE ELSE or NOTHING ELSE to blame for this but myself, however during this period of my life I couldn't see or accept this. On 1st January 2017 I chose to apply to Gordon Moody Association for HELP. I'm so glad I did! I spent 14 weeks in residential rehab and a further 24 weeks in the HALFWAY HOUSE. The quality of care, support, and understanding I received was 2nd to NONE. The staff are absolutely AMAZING!! Make NO doubt about it, it's NOT an easy journey. It literally strips you back to the bare bones, but my God it's worth it. IF you're prepared to open up, be completely honest, and engage fully in the programme, IT WILL PROVIDE YOU WITH THE NECESSARY KNOWLEDGE & TOOLS to lead a normal life GAMBLING FREE. I have been gambling FREE for 2 years and I am forever GREATFUL to Gordon Moody and the team of staff who gave me the opportunity to finally change my life once and for all. If you believe you have a problem with gambling, you should contact Gordon Moody. You won't regret it! Good luck 👍

If you leave Gordon Moody and go back to gambling then you have not been honest enough. This place changed my life and I would recommend anyone to get help from these guys. I met other gambling addicts on the program that just lied their way through to the end, they are the ones who go back to gambling. If you need help then I suggest you do everything they say, regardless of what others are doing. It's your life so it's up to you to change, for the better. Can't thank the staff enough for the opportunity they gave me. Thank you Xxxxx
