We recently adopted our little fluffy girlie Mabel from Good Life Dog Rescue. The whole transition from start to finish was perfect and Vicky made sure we were matched with right little fluffy friend. She gave us lots of advice and has supported us all the way through. I can't give Vicky and the team at Good Life Dog Rescue high enough praise for everything they do. Their love for these forgotten and dejected animals is endless, and I commend them for all they do to care for these dogs . Our family is now complete with Mabel. Can't imagine life without her. Thank you.

Our first experience with a rescue centre and it was fantastic. Vickie and the volunteers work tirelessly for the charity and Vickie was so supportive in making sure we adopted the right dogs for our family. After only two weeks they have settled in brilliantly. Vickie keeps in regular contact with us, gives great reassuring advice and gave us everything we could need when we brought the little dogs home. We wouldn't hesitate in recommending Good Life Dog Rescue for anyone looking to adopt, it's a great charity.

Filled in the paperwork, emailed, called and left messages. This started at the beginning of December 22. Still no response so I'll try another rescue. Shame.

We had a really heartbreaking experience with Good Life Dog Rescue. The whole process was a farce from start to finish. We had lost our beloved dog 8 months previously to cancer so adopting a dog was a huge step for us! After filling in ALL application to adopt forms and being very concise with all answers we received a phone call at 8.30am on a Sunday morning and were invited to meet a dog. We travelled an hour and 40 minutes to meet him. Took him for an hour long walk. Played with him in a paddock for a further hour and fell in love with him only to be told as we were leaving that we couldn't have him because we had a cat. Again all of this information was in the application forms therefore we felt had he not been ok with cats we should never have been invited to meet him in the first place. The follow up to that wasn't great. Really poor communication after despite numerous messages and phone calls. Very mixed information being given out on his suitability to live with small animals and cats via social media adding to our hurt and confusion. The dog we met was very smelly and had some skin issues which we were told was normal for a dog in kennels. Having met several other dogs from rescues we have yet to find any that say it is normal. We definitely wouldn't recommend the rescue which is a shame because had they been better there maybe wouldn't be so many dogs still waiting for homes and people desperate to give them.
